Help Needed.

Every time I try and play a game of LoL it crashes right at the champion portrait screen and gives me an error message that reads: "An unknown DirectX error has occurred and League of Legends cannot start. Please make sure your video card is using the latest video drivers from the manufacturer." I have updated everything its asking for yet it still tends to show up. The only thing is due to my laptop breaking down im using a kinda run down pc which had 2 Gb ram and windows xp and it worked smoothly. I then gave it to a shop to get windows 7 and since then its not working and giving me that error despite of me having all the drivers needed. would really love some solutions ty

I'd recommend you try the LoL hextech repair tool (sorry, can't find a link to it).

######I'd also recommend you put this in Report a Bug from now on. :)

should have kept xp. it's a low-resource OS. Win 7 is not.

It sounds like the game is failing to render and resulting in a crash, so performing updates is definitely a solid step. I also recommend going through the game crash guide for additional steps and possibilities to rule out like game files or hardware issues. Let me know how that works out, as well as using the HRT.
