Why in the world are tanks so strong right now? They don't even have to win lane, they merely have to exist and peel for the ADC. What is the point of playing bruisers or any sort of diver/damage type champion when tanks are this strong at this point?

Explain that to me. On top of that, it is supposed that not a single Rioter is a top lane main - so tell me, what is being done about this?

Tanks aren't even that strong right now. Have you looked at the top top laner champs or what's played in lcs and lck? It's almost all carry tops to add extra damage for your team. The tanks exist in jungle and support.

Even full tanks get melted so hard by adcs that I guess they just figure it's better to have extra damage now.

People that say "tank meta" constantly never have any evidence of such.

Tanks are ridiculously strong. Now for some reason the boards will down vote anything related to tanks being OP and people are starting to believe that tanks are supposed to be these unkillable damage dealing champs. Not true and also not fun to deal with. It's fucked over some of my ranked games because the enemy went all tanks, no adc and such.

Also you want my opinion the why tanks are so strong? Because their items are cheap as fuck.

item 1029 =300 item 1031 =800 item 3076 =1000 item 3083 =2850 item 3742 2900

Now compare that to a fighter's bruiser build item 1036 =350 item 3044 =1250 item 3077 =1200 item 3071 =3000 item 3053 =3200 item 3748 =3500 item 3078 =3733

Compare that to an assassin item 1036 =350 item 3134 =1100 item 3147 =2900

Now compare that to an ADC item 1036 =350 item 1037 =875 item 1038 =1300 item 3086 =1200 item 3087 =2600(You can argue the whole zeal being cheap thing, which is not wrong, but zeal is 1200 compared to a tanks 800 item 1031 and 1000 item 3076 ) item 3031 =3400

Mages go without saying. Their items are expensive AF. item 3089 =3800 item 3165 =2900 item 3146 =3400

And then there's items for all AD champs that are built. item 3812 =3500 item 3072 =3700 item 3153 =3400

Tanking is not strong CC is strong and anyone willing to use cc to peel for dps whether adc or mage will be strong for that reason. Idk how tanks get auto called out for being strong when they only do well if they baby sit an adc or mage but mages are weak if they baby sit an adc or assassin because they arent the one one shotting because the enemy had to invest half their slots into mr to no get bursted and item 3194 is easily played around because it has shit magic resist and you can completely negate its passive by holding your spells for 2 seconds.
