When do you get first tower gold alone?

I was playing with an adc today and twice I tried leaving the lane before he finished the tower so he'd get the full bonus. But twice he said he didn't get it. How does it work - when am I included for bonus gold and when am I not? Is it about the distance to tower at the moment it's being last hit (how far)? Is it about not having hit the tower for a few seconds (like with champions)? If so, how many seconds? Maybe both? Does anyone know actual values for the current patch?

Also if someone could tell me what the actual current bonus gold values are (for the last hitter and the whole team) I'd be grateful.

It's a pretty small range, possibly equal to tower aggro range (maybe slightly larger).

I think the BONUS gold is only given to the person who hit the tower last (if cait hits it, then sona hits it, sona gets last hit gold, even if a minion finishes it within a couple of seconds)

but it gives 250 local gold, split between any champions in the area at the time of destruction. it also gives around 100 gold to everyone else on the team (no matter if they're across the map or dead). (these numbers only apply to the first turrets of the game, the farther the turret, the more gold received). the local range to receive this gold is the tower radius.

Fun fact: destroying the enemy nexus for some odd reason also grants 50 gold

So the time doesn't play a role here at all? If I hit a tower, move out of range and 1 sec after my hit my adc hits the tower and kills it and he gets full bonus gold? How much should he get (in total) for getting first tower blood alone?
