Follow the Lore, Rito

Rito has done a very good job with league, even though many abilities are broken, annoying, or rage inducing. The one -and only- thing that defies logic, AND frustrates is how the sweet lifeblood of this game, its lore, is nothing like the actual game. For instance, Darius is a klling machine. His weapon - a giant axe, made to make others bleed, and behead them. He does not have Mana. What IS mana? Mana is The collective magical energy of a particular world or plane of existence, present its landscape, or in other words, magic juice. How a brute of a man darius who uses no magic needs mana, I've no idea. How Riven uses magical rune shields, a runical stun, and a magic blade that shoots lazers DOESNT need mana also makes no sense. A ninja that can conjure up tornadoes, and make walls that block projectiles doesn't need mana either? In addition to this, they have a VERY small cooldown. Yasuo's q has like a 0.5 second dash time and he can really dash away if there are minons. Riven's Q becomes spammable and what holds her back? Nothing. I understand that they need to make champs that are harder to play have less limits, but be real here rito. After one big team fight darius needs to back. Yasuo doesn't and neither does riven.(these are only two examples, there are many in the game) To recap, People who DO NOT have magic abilities need a magical essence called mana..?

Harder to play champs have spammable, no costing abilities that can outlast those who use mana

These abilities act as an engage, disengage, grant shields and cant melt you, Whereas abilities that only damage or have small pulls are on massive cooldowns, have mana costs, and are on tanks like darius. DONT FORGET the new Yasuo Korean build makes him a tanking, damage dealing, rage inducing champ who can beat darius whether it be crit or tank yasuo.

Rito, fix your Sh*t

You have to keep in mind that the game comes first and then the lore. They cant tailor the game to the lore, otherwise youd have a crappy game but a great story.

First- Mana is a mechanic.

Second- They can have mana (if it ever goes in the lore) whatever they want. The definition you gave sounds like it's used in Magic: The Gathering (and maybe fokelore/religion, I don't know) but they can say mana comes from this or that or the yordles or the sky or whatever.
