The state of Ranked at low elo

So I stopped playing League of Legends for about 8 months due to getting fed up with leavers/greifers etc. I played 1 game today and I've already had a leaver. I don't understand how LoL plans to market their game to new players with this horrendous plague on their game. Several of my friends have quit and moved on to "bigger and better" games where these type of problems are less detrimental/non-existent. The tribunal was a start and I DO believe that it is dissuading others from participating in these types of "toxic" behaviors but in the end they don't get banned, their account stays open, and they just wait until they can strike again. I realize that "banning" people who've spent their hard earned money on the game is REALLY bad for PR and REALLY bad for trying to get new players, but what's the point when you can't keep them anyways because your player base is too volatile to enjoy the game? As someone who's been enjoying this game for years, I cant continue to support a game that refuses to deal with one of it's LARGEST problems in any sort of permanent fashion. I just wish I could enjoy this game, but with the state of ranked, I find it impossible, and believe the only real way to be happy with it is to end my relationship with Riot and the game they've created.

Enjoy my money, A concerned fan.

I miss Dawngate. It had a lot going for it. Shame EA wasn't willing to continue it. But it shows how much it takes for a game MOBA to make it right now, when even one of the largest names in gaming throws in the towel.

I've given up and just accepted that every game of League is gonna be unbalanced or unfair in some form or manner. It may be a negative attitude but I believe the "Hope for the best. Plan for the worst" mindset is the only one keeping me from falcon punching my laptop every game in ranked wheres theres an afk.

Whats worse is that Rito knows its an issue but since everyone is just as likely to have a dc (random chance) they say that its alright since next game the luck gods might smile on you and the enemy will have a dc.

Its a fucked up system on so many levels but Riot is content with commenting and focusing on community art and LCS games rather than the gameplay that got them to where they are today.

no one is going to miss you if you leave. No one cares about someone who whines and threatens to leave just because they had one leaver in one game

What games that are similar don't have the problem of DCs? I mean maybe 25% of my games have someone negative or an AFK but the majority of my games are fine. I don't know if that's because I'm pretty positive, because I work to get my teammates to get along, or I'm just not remembering negative players because if I'm at all in a bad mood I insta mute someone who even says something critical of a teammate even if it's not negative (I don't want to read too much into somethin because I'm cranky that night and then be the one starting the raging :D). In my experience it isn't that bad, and the games I like to play other than this are just as bad if not worse (call of duty and stuff that I play w/ my brother).
