Ivern Q

would it be possible to modify ivern q so that you can autoattack people who are rooted (by his q) without being pulled into melee range, but to instead only be able to recativate ivern q to be moved to the rooted unit? I ask because as it currently plays it can be extremely awkward to attack people at range if they are affected by ivern q. or something to this effect. it makes his gameplay feel very clunky.

How would other people use it then? Also this is prob a holdover from him being a melee champ right?

could still just leave the ability the same for teammates but just make ivern have to q twice. But again attack click or attack move should not proc the move to off the root.

right click? It's only ivern who this happens to, and its intended. they patched it in

Can't you just attack click or attack move instead of right clicking. That solves the issues because attack click should not make you go to them.

I do like the idea of a q reactivation for ivern but attack click or attack move command should fix.

So, yes you can, the problem is that its unholy awkward to try and attack move near to the target you ant and not another target in, say, a 2v2 in river. try it, youll hate it. this isnt me saying its impossible, its me saying it feels like crap. QoL change (buff)

I do not want to sound mean or come off as an ass but the answer is to just not right click them. If for example you are saying you have rooted a full health champ but are going for the low health champ you just have to attack move that champ.

I do not experience the problem of autoing the wrong champ. I also do not have attack click set to mouse I have attack move command set to keybind.

I would report it as a bug. It's suppose to pull you to your max AA range, and since he was original melee, they probably never updated it for him. I never played him with a Nidalee or any other shapeshifter, but it would be interesting to see if it pulled melee in cougar form and ranged in human.

Agrred, however, from the 9.22 patch notes, "Q - Rootcaller LEAVE ROOM FOR DAISYIvern will now always dash into melee range of the target" This is the intended effect. for some reason?

Agreed. Hit your Q? Hit Q again to go into old melee range, right click to go to AA range (if outside of aa range) or just simple auto.
