CAN SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP ME ACHIEVE MY DREAMS OF GETTING OUT OF BRONZE

IsaacBoss··1 votes·588 views

Dear fellow players my name is IsaacBoss and I am asking for help with getting out of bronze. I've watched all the YouTube videos from jungle pathing to wave containment (I'm a jungle/mid main). But for some reason I can't make it out of bronze. I would like someone of high Eli to duo with me and tell me what I'm doing wrong in-game and help me get out of bronze please. I'm begging you guys. My goal is to be at least gold by the end of this season but how things are going right now that goal looks so bleak. So if you are reading this and you want to help just add me in game: IsaacBoss. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless you all.

Well the first thing I notice from your op.gg is that you don't commit to any champions and you die a lot.

Figure out why you are dying and how you could have avoided dying. That's the first step. In low ELO, if you don't lose, the enemy will lose for you.

Second point is very important - stop trying to find "the best champion to climb" or "the one that stomps the hardest". Pick 2 champions for your primary and secondary positions that you are comfortable on and enjoy playing. Preferably these champions should serve different roles, i.e. if you're a top main don't play Yasuo and Fiora, play Yasuo and Nautilus or Fiora and Poppy. Thoroughly learn your champions and how they handle every matchup and situation.

And most importantly - be prepared to genuinely work for it. The biggest problem I see Bronze/Silver players have is they think there's a substitute to hard work and commitment when climbing, and spend more time looking for the "easy way" instead of just rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. After all, if a rank didn't take a lot of work, why would it be an accomplishment worth achieving in the first place?

I totally agree with this, but with one note worth mentioning: If you can pick a champ who is flexible across a few roles, that can be very helpful. For example:

  • Yasuo can be made in mid or top comfortably.
  • Lee Sin can be mid, top or jungle, but mid is probably the hardest of those and not entirely recommended unless you know him real well.
  • Corki, Ezreal, and Varus can all be ADC or mid (but mid is very unsafe, so you have to be extra cautious).
  • Nautilus, Malphite, and Volibear can be top, jungle, or support, and as a nice bonus they are not too hard to learn.
  • Quinn can be top or adc, and is quite strong at either, generally speaking.

There are plenty of champs in the game that can be used in more than one role, so ideally you would want to pick a few of those to learn inside-out.

The other major consideration is whether or not your champ is a meta pick and if they are commonly pick/ban. If your champion pool falls within these categories, you have to master a larger number of champions or be forced to dodge often, because you won't get to play them. Just a fast and easy example, if you look at http://champion.gg/statistics/#?sortBy=general.banRate&order=descend, Katarina, Zed, Camille, Graves, and Rengar are likely to be picked/banned out from under you. On the other hand, Volibear, Tahm Kench, and Annie are seldom banned and all quite capable of carrying games (a bit trickier with TK, tho). Brand, Morgana, and Gragas all fit into this description as well.

The most important thing to know is this: No champion in the game is unable to make it to Platinum. Even Urgot sees occasional play somewhere in Diamond. YOU are the biggest factor in your rank; not your champion.

Thank you for your advice the problem I have with picking a versatile champ is that I am limited to the ones that I have. Most people have all the champions unlocked but I do not that's why when I read your post I immidiently started going straight for jungle and mid because those are my most comfortable roles. But because of that the champs I have fall directly into those roles only and nothing else because I was naive when I got them with ip. If I could go back I would have picked more versatile champs.

Which champions do you own?

What I did when I was trying to build up my collection was after I got all the core runes I needed, I used my IP to buy all the cheapest champions first--even if I wasn't intending to play them right away. All the ones that are 450ip, then 1350, then 3150 (have like 2 of those left that I don't own), etc. With a champion pool that large, it's easy to find a pick here and there that is flexible enough to use in multiple roles, then just learn the champion really well.

The other thing I did was buy champions that I tried when they were free week when they came on sale, but only if they normally would cost 4800/6300 ip--all the <3150 champs aren't a very good RP value (overpriced compared to buying with ip).

Once you own all the bottom 3 price tiers of champions, you can use the champion shards you get out of crates to randomly roll one you don't own, and you can buy a random champ shard for 1700ip, so if you get at least 1 out of the boxes, you can spend 3400ip for 2 more and roll them for a random one that costs 4800+ (saving you some ip). The only drawback to this method is that you don't get to choose who you get, and it only works if you own all the very cheap champions already.

Bear in mind that this process was over several years. Don't be in a huge hurry to "Collect 'em All!" In the short term, save up for 3 or 4 champions that are flexible and that you enjoy playing. Play them a lot while you build up your champion pool, so you have some comfort picks for those times they don't get picked/banned out and you get the role you want.

It sounds like you're asking to get boosted.

Honestly, the best way to climb is to play more. Focus on learning more than winning, but always try to win too. There are practically THOUSANDS of guides out there on how to do this, but all of them boil down to one basic fact: There's no magic secret to it. It's just like any other skill in life; you get better through practice.

Go read a bunch of those guides, find a few champs you can "main," learn them inside-out, and perfect your mechanics and game knowledge.

Why are you asking people to carry you? Carry yourself out of bronze. If someone does carry you to silver you'll just fall back down to bronze again because you dont actually belong there.
