Sejuani top?

im curious to see what everyone else thinks about sejuani top. could she be a good pick into this current meta of malph rammus naut ect top laners? i just had a game as sej top where i was shutdown in lane after being counter picked by a kennen i think i was 1-3-1 with 40 cs to kennens 2-2-1 110 cs. but once i got abyssal merc's and bami's kennen literally did 0 damage to me even with a zhonya's and i believe a ludens(could be wrong on the ludens) after that i literally proceeded to demolish their entire team even 1v3ing a mf morgana and kennen top lane at 75% hp.. with all of sej's cc couldnt she be a good counter pick to some of the meta top laners since she can just farm and not have to worry about dying?

Well, Sej brings tankiness and a crapton of CC, but she's gonna lose to pretty much every laner if she's by herself, as she doesn't have much kill pressure on her own. She also lacks in the long-term mobility department, so you'd need teleport to be impactful in other places. Ultimately, I can see it sort-of working, but I'd be really careful about when you pick it, because if you lose lane even a bit, you'll be way behind.

well honestly i dont really think the top laners aside from like fiora have much kill pressure on her either. her Q is to long of a dash to be caught by a jg if you ward well enough. and who needs mobility when you have a long dash and slows on almost all your abilites + your team wide stun ult lol. and sej does a surprising amount of damage with her W and E since it scales off both AP and hp.

I don't think Seju has enough early dueling power. Thing about Mal and Naut is that they can take 1/2 of your HP if you fight them as early as at lvl 2, while most other toplaners can barely scratch their shields. Seju's early tanking ability isn't as potent, and if I remember her W takes some levels before she starts really kicking in terms of damage.

But hey, feel free to try this.

the difference is she can at least survive laning phase vs them

I can't really say I would need to face solotop Seju first, but just glimpsing at her stats I can't see that. Bonus armor isn't too helpful vs Naut or Mal, and her dash is long but not as long as their picking abilities.

thats why you rush bami's and abyssal vs both of them lol why would you build armor start against either? they both do magic damage. neither one is gonna wanna fight you for extended periods of time due to sej's W. you lose first burst in trades but the longer the fight goes the better it is for sej.

well i just had a game against a naut top with sej and laning phase post 6 it was even slightly in favor of naut only reason he killed me was he took ignite over tp.. after about lvl 8ish all trades went in my favor and once i got abyssal and bami's it was over i just ran him out of lane and snowballed. and her W kicks in at its second level so either lvl 3-4 your W does enough damage to make a dent.

Doable with lots of practice.

For her to lane effectively she needs to be able to just stop the tower from falling. Her CS is gonna be laughable against anyone with poke. The only upside to her being top, is that with a jungler like UDYR, the enemy has bascally zero chance of ever escaping a gank.

I would NOT suggest this unless you are duo'ed with a jungler who is going to gank alot

i just had a game against naut and literally stomped him at lvl 7 once you get abyssal and bami's you are far to tanky for a magic damage top laner to do anything vs you.
