Small suggestion to make Karma that mage that she should be

So, I main Karma. I mostly lane her as bottom support like everybody else, but can't help but notice that Riot's designated her primary role as the mage class. I've found it a wee bit difficult to hold my own with Karma in this position, like she just doesn't carry her wait compared to the other mages. There's been two things about Karma that I've been dissatisfied with that I hope will reach some Riot peoples with this post.

  1. Others have mentioned this multiple times here on the forums and I believe it merits being brought up again. Please make it so Inspire doesn't hit minions. I miss myself and others with it all the time thanks to that little minion being in the wrong place at the wrong time, resulting in my or my allies deaths.
  2. Focused Resolve could use a boost. Most champs with a binding ability use the skill shot mechanic, Karma's tether does not, which you'd think would make it really good right? But it's not. It does less damage than other binds like Morgana's and Lux's, and has almost half the range of the previously mentioned plus Zyra. Ryze has a point and click bind with comparable range and damage to Karma's, but Karma has to hold a tether for two seconds to get the bind, often has to "run against the grain" as it were to get it. I'd really rather not run towards the enemy with my squishy mage. A lot of champs also have a mobility ability to quickly get out of that tether. Anyone else ever been super frustrated trying to use this ability on oh, Graves, Lucian, Kalista or Tristana? It's so easy for these champs and just about every other ADC to get away from Karma. And yeah, you can argue that Karma's got her Mantra to boost Focused Resolve up to gain a better result, but lets be honest, nobody does that. Everybody knows that Mantra's used for Inner Flame. So here's my thought on making Focused resolve usable and worth putting a level point into: Decrease the time the tether must be maintained by .25 seconds per level, that way at it's 5th point the tether only needs to keep contact for one second verses the two seconds at it's first level.

They designated a lot of current-meta-Support's roles as other things, but they have it as their secondary role. Like Blitz and Leona.

One of the finer points of karma is to be a complete dick and shield minions right before they get last hit

Have you tried using IceBourne Gauntlet and a Liandry's?

Increasing the break range of W by 100-200 would make me happy. Also there could be some kind of mechanic on her shield so it can't be cast on minions that are near ally champions. Casting mantra shield on a minion is a nice trick and should not be completely removed.

  1. Hold the ~ key when you cast it and then it can't target minions.
  2. Yes she needs a buff. That tether range is very small. So much so that you have to get yourself dangerously out of position to keep them in the range of it most of the time.
