What in the actual fuck is this match making in ranked?

Look theres a plat 1 and a gold 5 on their team and the gold 5 player is not even duo q. It's solo/duo q game even. Kinda ummmm questionable that matchmaking couldnt find 10 people in mid plat to play this game. my mmr is good even. i got +23 for that win, but it's like expecting me to hard carry my team and expecting their carries to hard carry a gold 5 jungler.

I mean their carries are all plat 1, plat 3, plat 3. Ours are plat 5s and gold 1. They shoulda actually had an upper hand. This game was played like 11am est. is there really nobody online to make a decent match?

How do people still not understand that rank =/= mmr? It doesn't matter what anyone's ranks are, you get matched by mmr.

If you are usomg op.gg for your MMR its a VERY rough estimate. It currently says my MMR is normal for silver 5, but my recent matches are with mid bronze, I'm getting demotion warnings on game and my last win only gsve me 17lp - meaning my actual MMR is well below normal for silver 5.
Only about 7% of the player base is at platinum and you are playing late at night. One of the streamers I watch at that is around that rank has queues long enough that he plays other games while waiting. It's probably not unreasonable that the matchmaker has to go to a MMR difference of 3-400 to fill a game.

Before this game WW was 20-7. They have never been ranked before this season so were placed in silver as a fresh ranked account that is obviously a smurf. I'm willing to bet that this is either a second account or someone who was permabanned who already has a plat - diamond account.
