How about including the skirmishers in it as well? Skirmishers are also pretty diver-ish in a sense, though they're more about remaining mobile in the midst of battle and having powerful defensive tools instead of straight out soaking up damage with shields or stacked defensive stats. It's a pretty small class; a lot of them could use some polishing for modern standards, and others are "toxic for the game" (emphasis on the quotation marks) so some changes to stop the bitching (or make it less apparent) on the Boards could be nice.

Pretty sure Elise is considered a diver. She's more about diving a backline with Rappel, and often time stacks at least some health. And she doesn't have the powerful defensive tools like Ekko, Yasuo, Tryn, and co. do. And last I checked, Jayce was categorized primarily as a Artillery mage primarily, but being a skirmisher hybrid.

And I'm aware they're (Divers and Skirmishers) different, but I see them as related enough in concept to warrant both of them being looked at the same time. and of course, the situation I've observed of the skirmishers either needing some polishing for modern standards or being quote-endquote toxic.

Divers excel at singling out high-priority targets to blitz toward, immediately forcing those targets (and their teammates) to deal with the diver’s presence. Divers are not as durable as the tanks or juggernauts of the world, but Divers can take their fair share of punishment while bringing enough damage to be a real kill threat if left unchecked.

Here's the latest (which was a while back) Elise's grouped with the divers. Kindred is a marksman and marksmen naturally shred everyone anyways. Evelynn is apparently also a diver (?? I don't agree with this), and yeah Kled was described as a Skirmisher in his champion reveal.
