EXP system in game

Can anybody explain EXP system in game to me please? so... I just played game with Vayne and I was 24/4/5 with 300 farm at 35 minutes and I was level 16 although enemy jinx with 0/15/3 and 120 farm was level 15,teemo who was 12/10/10 with 180 farm(enemy team) was level 18 and xin in jungle with 18/9/5 and 120 farm was level 18 aswell... I know I share experience with Janna and stuff,but what makes me only 2 levels ahead of the enemy Jinx with 0 kills and 15 deaths and the enemy teemo with that score and CS so much ahead of me,I'm not talking about 1v1ing the teemo or smth like that,I'm only talking about the leveling system,If somebody can explain to me I would appreciate it ty

That's just the way that XP sharing works. As an ADC, I doubt you had very many solo kills if any at all, so all the XP from your non-solo kills got divided equally among you and the teammates who got assists. Also, you would have been sharing all that minion XP with Janna so I'm not surprised that you were only level 16. Meanwhile, Teemo would have been in the top lane or mid lane, and thus would have been getting solo kills and solo CS. Same for Xin Zhao in the jungle, except he also gets extra XP from monsters because of the jungle item.
