So I played jungle shen for a few games the other day and I really had fun but I was flamed at when I got Devourer instead of Cinderhulk, which one would you prefer? I personally prefer Devourer on Shen and only Shen but Cinder for any other tank.
Naut / Sej the other notoriously slow clear tanks have AOE to help bolster their clears, Shen lacks that so his clears are painful. I would go Cinderhulk though. I enjoy him more in Top or Support though personally.
I'm not going to lie I've gone Dev on Jungle Shen before, but only when we were doing very well early game and I felt like I wasn't needed literally anywhere. (a.k.a. for the lulz)
The reason Hulk is much better than Dev is because Shen simply gets more out of it. Because of his slow clear speed, a Wit's End will do you more good sooner than a Dev if you really need the extra damage for w/e reason.
It honestly depends on what you need to do later on in the game. If you are your team's main tank Cinderhulk is your go to item. Have other tanks? Perhaps Devourer will be the better choice for the increased damage.
Either works but you'll likely get more gold sooner with cinderhulk. Try getting botrk/witsend for the attack speed. You forgot to add the either option to your poll... Oh well
