Swain needs a nerf

I think SwainSwain is really overtuned right now. As a riven player I have faced many swain players this season, and he is just so frustrating to deal with. High AOE, high sustain, high poke. He wins all short trades, and he also wins all-ins. I feel there is nothing that I can do besides playing champions that directly counter him, which there aren't many.

He is a tad bit overtuned. A small nerf to him wouldn't be the end of the world.

Then again, maybe if I learned to dodge his weird-ass claw thing, I'd do better...

He dosent need a Huge nerf, But I won't deny that he is dominant, as someone who played him a bunch after his rework I believe his early game is too good for the monster he can be later on.

Something like an early heal cut or early damage cut that would not effect his late game should be good.

Side note: I actually liked him more before the buffs, he was actually somewhat of a challenge to play since his early game was awful, but if you could survive that, he became an unstoppable force that could trample anyone he came across.

Another side note: Doesn't Swain counter Riven? Or am I missing something.

Is it bad that I almost stopped reading after "Riven"?

Anyway, his winrate in top is consistently 50%, which is kind of ideal for any champ. And as a range, he's naturally annoying to melee top laners who are easy to tilt. There are ways to deal with him, but in true league fashion, players often ignore them all. But once you have that in mind and find the patterns to his skillshots, that 50% lose rate will show uo.

Example: Being reliant on sustain, Grevious Wound items (item 3123 into item 3033 for in you case) helps increase that killing power against him.

That or you can just either kill his teammates, focus him in team fights, or shut him down early by killing a few times early
