Riven is rising in popularity again... finish the job, Riot!

As you all know, Riven has risen from a mediocre 10% pickrate to one of the most played champions on the NA server.

Even after Riots destruction back in January people are still playing and winning with her.

Despite the fact that they destroyed her base stats, base damage on abilities, and nerfed her shield duration, as well as insulted her by giving Lucian her passive, but better, people are still playing her..

Finish the job Riot, delete her once and for all!

10/10 thread. I dont think they expected anyone to play her after her nerfs.. let alone seeing her be the #18 most popular champion atm

she needs to be removed from the game asap.

or disabled while riot works on more 'balance changes' that actually render her unplayable

riven doesnt need to be deleted, she just needs balance changes to bring her in line with other healthy champions such as Cassiopeia and Urgot

as proposed -

q reduced from 10 base damage to 4

w - stun reduced from 0.75 seconds to 0.2 seconds

r- now enhances AD by 2% instead of 20%

this'll balance her...

I hope you're joking, she's awful and loses to basically every single viable top lane. She loses to nearly all the good mids and she hasn't seen a competitive pick as far as I know since her last nerf. Just because she works against awful players or in the hands of Boxbox doesn't make her "ok". She's terrible.

She's not terrible. She's clearly not strong at the moment, but she's not terrible. Honestly all she would need is a change to her itemization to cover her early game and she'd be a fine pick.

This whole thread is an attempt to disguise complaining as a constructive conversation anyway.

Save played her in Worlds a week or two ago. I also believe that Ssumday played her a few times in OGN.

I am a bit behind on worlds, I've been watching VODs but I'm still on the quarterfinals round. I work too much and have other commitments so my time to watch league has gone down a lot the past few months. I'll have to keep an eye out for those games.

Although her being played still doesn't mean she is good or viable, it means that a specific teamcomp and matchup was ok for her. In order for her to be considered decent you'd need to be able to pick her in many matchups. She still gets wrecked by most meta picks in both mid and top...

Niche picks have their niche. Riven's obviously not a champ that you're gonna pick blind, but she's seen reasonable success in competitive play as a pocket pick, and her soloq stats are pretty average.

Oh, you should also check out Shook's games on jungle Riven. Two of them back to back in the middle of the summer split - they're pretty hilarious.

I don't play Ranked. It's not that I have a bad ranking, I just almost never play Ranked. A few games in Season 1 to prove that this account is old as it is, a few in Season 2.

If the only basis for your judgement of me is my ranking, then would you please remove your head from your ass before continuing any conversations ever again?

the shield duration nerf was stupid its not about the duration of the shield thats a problem its that its on such a short cool down on top of it scaling with AD and blocking so much. it blocks 90 at level 1 with 1:1 bonus attack damage scaling with a cool down that decreases with level on top of that she get projected forward with it. they need to remove the little dash it gives makes it cooldown not get lower with levels make it a steady 9 or 8 and reduce the scalings.

between her having the ability to escape or catch up to you having a stun and a knockup with a projectile ult that does extra damage based on how low your health is.

thats why she strong.
