Orianna's Tether range and Allies

Everyone who as ever played Ori knows the feeling: You have your Ball on the Malphite, and even though you aren't duoed together, you both know what needs to happen. The Malph see the opportunity, goes in for a max range ult, and Ori's ball snaps back.

Then, of course, the Malph is like "all you had to do was press r!" and the Ori is like "I HAVE A GODDAMN TETHER RANGE WHY DOES NO ONE UNDERSTAND"

Of course, this is a valid question. Why does no one understand that Ori has a tether? Well, when Ori has a ball on an ally, Ori can see a pale yellow line denoting the tether range, and can try and pevent her ally from getting to far away. However, the ally can't see the tether range, and so goes outside of it unknownenly.

This is a real problem. When an Ori sees a Malph, a wukong, a rengar, they get exicted for some awesome wombo combos. Then the Malph max range ults, the wukong w-flash-e's or the rengar pops ult and is suddenly halfway across the map. and they have no idea that they completely left the tether range. Deilivering the ball for wombo combos should be a team effort, but the team can't help if they don't know the tether range.

Simple solution/TL:DR: Add a tether range indicator for allies to see on Orianna's Command:Protect.

This clearly is the most imprtant QOL change that could ever be made to Ori, and it has been suggested ever since she recved her own incator. And yet, after all this time, riot didn't implement it, that's just sad.

yep this is quite frustrating and needs attention

it's also extremely frustrating when your ball is on an ally deep in the front line but someone way in the back line needs a shield, and it takes almost 2 seconds to shield an Ally who probably died in 1.5 seconds.

This has been suggested again and again, but it never happens. It would be great if they made this change though

It's funny how they make all these major changes stating the because deep down league is played "best as a team game," but a simple change like this that makes it more of a team game is constantly ignored.

Hell, I was playing with my team the other day and our malph still kept ulting out of my tether range, even after I told him to be careful. He just didn't know what the tether range is. Indicator please!

Granted, he also kept only ulting the support, so it's possible he's just a terrible malph.

I had planned to main Ori for Season 5, but I ended up dropping her mainly due to this. Too many times has this exact situation happened and has led to loss teamfights. Your initiator jumps in and you press R just to see than you have ulted yourself. I tried running movespeed quints on her so that I would be able to stay in range of people easier, which helped the problem a little, but it still existed.

It is rather embarrassing when you know that you are the single reason that your team lost the teamfight that cost you the game. If an indicator was implemented so that my team could see it, I would definitely pick up Ori again.

I think Ohri is the only champ that is left in the current roster with semi-hidden mechanics THIS particularly annoying. I still don't understand her kit all that well. I just try to stick by her when I can and pray synergy happens. Also, just by sheer coincidence, range has never been an issue with me simply because it's never come up.

Clarity on the issue would be neat, but I don't understand why you'd be surprised that people don't know this.

I would be nice if there was a 1 second delay be for the ball snaps back once it goes out of range on a ally.

i also would like to increase to the range, but i thinks its the tradeoff, use your combo from a distance but leave yourself vulnerable

I think that it should be a tether combined with a timer. Say .7 seconds out of the tether it snaps back if on an allied champion?

Having a fairly old character model and ability icons, I think it's safe to hope for a complete visual update (including improved ability indicators!) for Orianna in the foreseable future.

Honestly they should just make it if the ball leaves the range it returns to ori after 2 seconds instead of immediately.
