Team Tilters are honestly ruining the game.

(warning, pretty much just a rant) I've been playing since season 4 in may, not that long but long enough to somewhat get a feel for the community, back in 2014 it was pretty bad, everyone cursed at eachother and nobody really got punished cause people just didn't report, the tribunal system has surely been working the past years with punishing and everything, but the fact team tilters (people that constantly flame a teamate if they are doing bad) can just get away with whatever the hell they want is just not right riot, I can't even join a normal game without finding these people, but they mostly lurk in ranked, not really typing much, just kinda sitting back and seeing really what happens, these type of people have good map awareness on your lane, but not their own, these are the type of people that flame jungle and support on their own faults, these are the type of people that ruin rank games by tilting your own team and just not shutting up, i know alot of people just say "mute them" but we are curious folk, we wanna mute, but we also wanna see what they are saying, it's almost impossible to escape them either, i tried playing mostly at night and i run into them, mornings, they're still there, riot please punish the people that team tilt, it will make the game so much more enjoyable for me and plenty of others.

Unfortunately I don't see what more Riot can do. It's like the war on drugs, a few get sober and a few die but there will always be a fresh crop of users waiting to take their place. I've been watching some of my kids games who has been playing normals to practice before season 7 and you're right, even there in almost every game there's that kid who just won't stop ranting at whoever he feels isn't up to his standards which surprisingly is usually some B5 telling a gold/plat how bad they are lol.

Bottom line, just mute all once the flaming starts. Chances are it'll either get worse if you're losing or better if you're winning but either way there's nothing anyone can say in soloQ that a ping can't.

I used to be toxic sometimes I still pipe up but I just mute now. Like today I was a bit toxic but then I muted. It's not easy to hold to back when you get someone in ranked that should not be in there. Someone using someone using a champ they just bought or just feeding because they hate life. This is what riot needs to start working on banning people from ranked period and or put these types in their own tier. One tier for life or until they smartnup! And if they re-offend then back down to that tier. Not being able to Q for anything but that.

@IsoVhell

Dude you're bronze 5 with almost 800 games played, who the hell doesn't deserve to be in one of your games?!

So you want the toxic people to get punished ok but at the same time instead of muting them you want to see what they say because you're "curious" ? Why? You already know what they will say. What's the point in not muting them?
"GG SURRENDER AT 20 U SUCK NOOB GARBAGE" there is your curiosity for you.

  1. Mute the enemy team at the start of every game PERIOD. You are on opposite teams so hearing what they say is useless and serves no purpose.
  2. Mute your team at the start of every game. F*ck your curiosity. Your team does good and are up by 300 Kills your team will give each other reach arounds but if your team are down by 300 kills expect the blame flood gates to open and they don't close.
    Players at this point SHOULD know that you can just "click the opponents summs by just "ult tab" and click "X champion Flash" instead of typing it in chat. Chat is literally what "toxic players" use only at this stage of the game anyways.

If you solo Q alone hint"solo Q" don't rely on your team to know what the f$ck to do or how to help you just play your game and avoid the toxic stuff. Just try to get better and hopefully you can avoid must of the toxic players.

Just my thoughts on the matter

Judging by the number of people complaining that they got banned in the Player Behavior forum (and this post should probably be in there as well), I'd say Riot is doing ok in getting rid of the worst offenders.

Unfortunately there does seem to be a certain level of bad manners that appears to be considered "the norm" and isn't really punished. The sad part about that is that the more people who go around acting this way the more accepted this kind of behavior becomes, the less reports it gets and the less it gets punished. Ultimately the report system is sort of a democracy. If somebody is doing something you find unacceptable, report them. If enough other people agree with you that this behavior is also unacceptable then they will get put though the ban system although you will probably never find out.

If, on the other hand, your standards for what constitutes good behavior are higher than most that person probably won't be banned. Its up to everyone in the community to decide what we consider to be appropriate behavior together. This is, ultimately, a cultural problem and the only way to improve the overall culture of the community is to set a good example and hope others follow suit. Everything else is up to Riot.
