Crying in the Club

Guys I’m not even going to lie,

I feel like the silver elo is hopeless.

Don’t get me wrong here, I know people climb out all the time, but personally I’m just sort of out of ideas. It seems like there are ranked games down here in silver where I’ll either do amazing, come out of Lane with over 5 kills, or just sort of lose the game with like a death and a few assists. The last game I experienced even though I did amazing actually won lane!(rare occasion) SOMEONE on the other team has like 18-19 kills and full build and it’s like WHO ALLOWED THIS 😂.

Anyways I just wanted to reach out to some of the higher ups- any tips on gameplay in ranked to help both me and my team get that W?

Fellow Silver IV player here. I feel like climbing has become ridiculously hard now and to be honest I don't even care about it anymore. There are games where I just can't carry my team or some games where it's just poorly matched and I'm put up against a team that's way better than mine (and my self, obviously)

There’s so much to this game I’m still learning. There are counter picks, and Pre game strategies through runes and which spells you take, there’s positioning, the game is so complex! It’s just sometimes I feel I’m on some other level (sometimes, not always of course we all have bad days) and it’s like I wish I could climb up just one rank, but then for some reason the ranked system features players who I couldn’t imagine meeting in real life, because they’re so unbelievably rude about a video game!

Silver doesn't truly exist. It's just the dumping ground Riot created for newcomers to ranked before they either fall to bronze, climb to gold, or suffer a gruelling tug-of-war between the good players and the feeders to see which one of them gets their way.

I feel like it's mostly a case of the blind leading the blind. It's a tough environment to learn because of so much faulty advice/flamers. You may experience more or less unwinnable games in Silver, but that's just the nature of solo queue. Past that, my advice is to learn how to actually perform well a majority of the time, not tilt, and have a positive effect on your games.

Easier said than done, sure, but it's really just a case of getting better at the game.
