Ranked Placement in 2016

greating every body! I want to write my boring feelings toward the ranked placement this season. I don't understand at all why I have been placed in bronze 4. It is not a hate post toward bronze, I will explain myself. I did 5 win 5 lose. I know, it is not the best, but I we can agree I won 50% of my games. Then why am I one of the worst player of league of legends if I win at least half of my game? I can agree that I can be in bronze with this score, but in one of the lowest?

Something else that bothers me, is that one of my friend did 5 win 5 lose and ended up silver 4. Wait, what? I DID ALL OF GAME WITH HIM! I DON'T UNDERSTAND! then probably that the score matters. In my 10 games I did 6 good ones 3 bad games and 1 acceptables. My friend played support in all of those games or close to. So if the scores matters, here are mines: veigar mid: 11/9/10 lose viktor mid: 2/8/4 lose viktor mid: 11/3/3 lose viktor mid: 14/4/10 win viktor mid: 11/3/15 win viktor mid: 4/2/1 win viktor mid: 2/9/6 win Zac jungle: 5/1/6 win Tahm top: 1/6/1 lose viktor mid: 10/10/9 lose

With this I'm supposed to be bronze 4? Clearly I'm missing something here, I don't understand at all how it is supposed to be one of the worst player. Please someone explain to me how the placement works and I think Riot should change something in the placement system for the ones who aren't rank yet.

Sorry for the ones who read this until the end, the text look like I rage about being bronze 4(I am a bit frustrated, yes) but I want to understand. I'm sorry my english isn't the best.

Your independent performance inside the game doesn't matter, it's just win or loss that registers.

Your provisional games matter, but not as much as you might think. If you had bronze very low 5 MMR and won 10/10 of your placement games, you're still getting placed in bronze 5.

If you're Challenger MMR and you lose most of your provisional games you're still going to be placed somewhere in platinum most likely. A steamer named Valkrin won 6/4 of his provisional games maybe less, and was placed straight into platinum 1, which is the highest you can be placed out of provisional matches.

The actual named ranked Bronze 1-5, silver 1-5, etc are pretty much irrelevant. What really matters is the MMR ranking hidden underneath everything.

You aren't the worst player. I dropped to bronze 5 at 0 lp when placements came out and once I got to bronze 4 it said i was like 500k in the world which isn't that low tbh. Truth is nearly everyone on low tier silver dropped to bronze 5.
