So Dazzle is now a slower Crescendo?

We're talking about an ultimate which, according to Riot, is so powerful it consumes almost all the power budget of the champion who has it, and use it as an excuse for not porviding any additional buffs. Now Dazzle, as per description, works the same way but with a smal delay. Was it really slowed down and added as a basic ability?

Crescendo doesn't make up nearly as much of Sona's power budget as you claim. A fairly large portion of that budget is spent in letting her keep her auto-targeting Q and W.

This thread reeks of the entitlement and misplaced sense of persecution that Sona mains (and some other support mains, but mainly and most vocally Sona mains) have been spewing for season after season. For some unfathomable reason, Sona players always believe that Sona is weak, that she pales in comparison to all other supports, that Sona desperately needs buffs, and that she won't get those buffs because Riot has it out for Sona mains. Sona is not weak. Sona still consistently has a positive winrate in high elos, despite being overshadowed by Janna and Soraka (who are both deserving of nerfs). Sona is always useful. She will never feel that strong due to her very well-rounded support kit (having everything but tankiness), which doesn't excel in any particular area.

And most of the reason Crescendo is strong because it's so fast, so this is a pretty stupid comparison to make.

It's harder to hit from it's width and cast time, both are pretty significant changes

The difference between instant cast and 1-second delay is pretty huge.

Also it's like a third as wide, so.

It is also super obvious and lasts a lot shorter. A 1 second delay is pretty big considering Taric has 0 mobility and can't change the cast direction
