True, yeah you can carry on some champs but what if the enemy got fed by your whole team, they have carrying/snowballing champs vs your one. I doubt any gold 1 or lower can pull that off. Maybe a diamond player but who knows. Roit should have better requirements for rank play because I keep getting people that don't give a crap about how bad they play. 8 deaths from your top in 10 minutes like really how? Make ti a requirement for laners to have at least 60 cs against bots in 10 minutes even though they should have at least 70 cs. People like kxzzie are the people that are probably as good as a number of bronze players but got luckily and had good teammates or something of the like. Maybe every month allow players to redo their placements if they want to.

Like I have games, especially when assassins used to actually be assassins, that I could go 25/5/10 on a champ and carry my team despite them being bad just cause I could 1v3 or 1v4 but now they made it so you can't do that as easily or made those dumb ass tank comps the easy way to win. I can't count the amount of times I've been in a game where it was an adc and mord bot, Some AP tank champ mid such as Maokai, Garen top and Sion jg and at 20 minutes they were just impossible to kill so they rolled over you. Now most people ban most of those champs now but if even just a couple get through. Its GG cause tank will out last damage in 90% of situations.
