Something that bothers me about league is the fact that when you declare your champion your own team can still ban the champion you declare. Generally this is simply done by trolls, but why even allow that?

Personally I think it would make sense to make it so that you are unable to ban a champion which has been declared by one of your teammates. This would accomplish two things. One it would incentivize communicating to your team the champ you want to play, and two it would help prevent trolls from from punishing you for declaring your champion.

While I understand that this ultimately limits everyone. I think overall this limitation is worth it as it incentivizes communication with your team, and eliminates the current punishment of declaring your champion to have a teammate ban it.

That's actually not a bad idea. I've accidentally banned my teammates champion a few times and it really sucks. The warning is there, but when that timer runs down and you make that panic decision, you don't necessarily see exactly who has called whom. Granted, I'm a bit scatterbrained, but wouldn't preventing accidental and intentional bans help players not hate each other before the match even begins? Especially newer players.
