After 8 years, I'm done.. Worst state LoL has ever been in

Ranked is ridiculous

-Silver is saturated with Iron-Diamond players, which isn't a big deal, until you realize you got all the Iron-Silver players on YOUR team -If the grind is going to be this SLOW (40 minutes to win or lose 18 lp), your grade for the match, should at least be considered (ex. you go 23-2 as Nasus, get an S, but ALL other lanes lost. Why should you lose LP?) -Certain roles are far more impacting, so being autofilled can lead to a loss if you really needed to carry -People treat flex (or whichever queue they don't usually go in) as a normals match -Smurfs are highly abundant because League can't even tell the difference anymore -Their anti-cheat is outdated (scripts make it passed effortlessly) -Bans don't roll out on anyone unless, god forbid, they type some mean words -Again, they implemented a grading system for your matches BUT they don't do ANYTHING towards your rank, so why care? Go 100-1 in a match and lose, and see how much they care about your rank

OVERALL, League rewards the amount you play, not how well you play. The logic that, if you play enough, statistically you'll climb is not achievable for your average player. You could play all day, 12 hours straight, and that'd only be around 18-20 games. Whereas, at least 8 of them would be unwinnable, afks, intentional feeders, trolls, etc. It would amount to no progress. The hope for Riot is that you'll play 1000 matches each season just to go up a single tier. Then, next season, they're going to drop you down back to the tier you just climbed out of. I can't imagine why, other than to keep players where they're at, so they keep playing, but that's not good enough for me.

I've been grinding to gold for years just to get that free skin, only to be placed right back in bronze to suffer an entire season all over again. It's almost more worth to make a new account every season just to see where you get placed. I have friends in Plat-Diamond, that could almost never beat me in a custom match, BUT their accounts are newer (sometimes even paid for). I'm looking at my friends list now, at people that, honestly, could NEVER beat me in lane, but they're climbing faster because they're accounts are newer and/or got placed higher. League would have to change drastically for me to come back at this point, and I'm realizing, that after the past few years, Riot doesn't truly care about the quality of this game any longer. Any other competitive game out now does it better (ex. Siege, Overwatch, Apex Legends, pretty much every game with a ranked mode).

Having proof of your rank to show off to your friends, not only isn't real proof anymore, it's simply not worth it.
