Mages and Supports

So back in ye old times of around S5, mages had mana regen, it wasnt insane, but it allowed them to lane longer and sling spells willy-nilly. As part of Riots efforts to make Support into a very impactful role, they gave and left a LOT of mana regen on support items, enough so that when they get 1 or 2 items, they are able to sling spells willy-nilly. So what if we just swapped those out at this point? Give the dmg ap items mana regen and supps mana pools. Cause id like to be able to see a weakness in a support, like Lulu is oom, she cant do much here, lets fight it. Or something or other, im just curious if this would be a decent idea, no i don't think this is ground-breaking thoughts, but im mostly curious to what the community thinks of this

Or we just don't cause it's a bad idea.

Enchanters are doing fine in solo queue, but pro play is all about tank supports and catchers, none of which really give a shit about mana regen as long as they aren't dumb with spell casts. So you'd just nerf Enchanters out of any viability at all. I say we just don't do that.
