Unpopular opinion I don't think new Taric is fun.

So I have played a few games with 6.8 reworked Taric and honestly its kind of a disappointment to me. I feel like a have little to no control of my champ, most of the plays relay way too much on your teams help. Its not a fun experience to have when your doing your best in a game but have to fight your teammates as well as your enemy. I know this is not always the case and that good bot lane partners can just wreak with Taric now. But for solo queue its not fun. I'd like to see some more power given to solo Taric or people who play Taric but not with a friend give to him in some way.

I've read pretty much everywhere that everyone thinks hes super strong or op, but i just don't see it. I feel like hes heals are ok, the stun is short and not easy to hit (even more so when you have to track two champs to work it sometimes), the shield you give is ok, and the ult takes a lot of time to get going and is not good for countering quick dives or assassination attempts. With no really form of damage anywhere on his kit i just feel he is blah. At least the Taric before this one i felt like i could get Iceborn, some tank armor items and good boots and do some damage even solo someone if they didn't hard cc me. But this guy this New Fabio Taric just doesn't seem to do much for me.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to try to explain to me why i am wrong or what Taric does in game, etc. But im not looking for someone to change my mind here. I know what he can do when played well. I just don't feel its worth learning him well to get there. If you agree or disagree comment below maybe we can start a conversation on what people like and dislike about his kit.

As much as I love his new design, I generally agree. He's still just a stun bot to me :O (And don't get me started on his ult)

I don't think new taric is fun either. His heal sucks and is dependent on this 'stack' system

While his new stun CAN be more beneficial than before, It is literally a telegraphed, delayed skillshot that they can get out of without much trouble. They say he feels more "rewarding" now but I think they're confusing that with the feeling of "omfg I finally landed that shit omg" after so many potential misses. It's not the rewarding feeling, it's the feeling of not having missed it. Early game this is easily like 1/4 of his mana that feels like it went to complete waste where you could have used it to shield or heal instead.

His W does actually feel a bit good. I miss the old armor-shred effect that gave taric good offensive capabilities and made him pretty strong in solo top, but at the same time I can shield allies now as well as myself so it's a tradeoff of offense to defense, fitting his "shield of Valoran" theme

his ult.... ugh yes it's strong but you have to have the timing for it and hope whatever poor bastard you're trying to save (including yourself) doesn't die before it lands. I suppose it has to have some drawbacks for the massive aoe-team-invincibility potential to really screw the other team over. sadly it won't stop a fed enemy team from still wrecking your face though.

his passive..... meh his passive is ARGUABLY the same, except for one minor nerf. he now needs TWO hits to get his 2-second cooldown reduction, meaning you need to waste more time with auto animations to finish.

Try using his ult to engage rather than protect sometime, put it on like a malph and just dive when he does.

The key to new taric is that you have to really use your passive to full effect. If you dont, you will have problems.
