Mordekaiser build HELP

I seriously have no clue what I should be building on Mord at this point.

Other than rush , I don't know if I should be building or for armor, and whether I should grab or . Is core on him? Because I feel like it synergies well with him, but I'm not sure.

I thought would be good since his base AD is so high, but I like getting as well for the movement speed/sheen, and that takes another slot.

I keep switching between and , but neither give me much of a difference in terms of damage.

What do you guys build on this dude? Should I be going like full tank if I don't want to die?, because it seems like everyone is melting me, even when I try to rush defensive items, and I die too fast if I start stacking AP early. Any Tips?

Do you feel like swifties would be a good buy, or should I just stick with the sorcs?

Is there any particular order other than rush item 3116 ? I usually grab item 3742 right after that.

Boots depend heavily on the enemy team comp. Tabis against heavy AD, Mercs versus hard CC, Swifties against teams with heavy kiting and slows, Sorcs against squishies.

I usually rush Rylais into Steraks since they give you solid offensive and defensive stats. From there I either build Gunblade or DMP, depending on whether I need more damage or tankiness.

Diamond Morde Main here, I usually rush Rylai's then Protobelt - Rylai's applies to the protobelt's rockets, which gives him MUCH more kill/chase potential. After that, I usually go Nashors, but sometimes I get Abyssal or Zhonya's first. I usually don't get gunblade, largely because his q,w, and e are coded as AoE and protobelt shares the CD. I really feel trinity force is a waist on him since its change, and without it sterak's is less tempting as the base AD really made the sheen hurt.

Luden's is a good item, and I sometimes get deathcap if I don't need to be tanky. Zhonya's vs DMP is situational, but most games I feel I need DMP I get both.

The item overall is on the weak side, so it'll probably be seeing buffs, but its low cost combined with its application of Rylai's make it a great item for Morde. I suppose Vlad and Rumble would make good use out of it as well for the same reason.

Once it gets buffed, it'll be insane.

Also, some games you should rush a negatron (maybe spectre's cowl) or a seeker's armguard, just to stay alive. I wouldn't complete them until after Rylai's though.

Here's some typical full builds: When I can go full damage - item 3116 item 3009 item 3152 item 3115 item 3285 item 3089

When I need to stack MR - item 3116 item 3111 item 3001 item 3152 item 3065 item 3285

When I need to stack AR - item 3116 item 3047 item 3157 item 3152 item 3742 item 3115

I sometimes get thornmail to deal with high AS champs, especially ones with hurricane, usually in place of DMP. Morde makes good use of it thanks to his shield and vamp increasing his effective HP. While Morde won't get shield from its damage, it does vamp fully off gunblade. It's a great way to deal with Kog'maw, and if someone else on your team has one he will literally kill himself attacking you two with hurricane.
