ARAM wombo teamcomps not fun

I enjoy aram most of the time. I have real trouble believing the champ rolls/comps are random though. Team comp curation seems like it makes a lot of sense, as truly random team comps could very well be trash.

But if Riot IS curating team comps, I really wish they would get rid of some of these super imbalanced comps. In the game above, I'm the lulu on some kind of super all in ulti wombo comp vesus their insane poke comp. I can see how theoretically there is a way for us to outplay their comp, and we did it once, but come on, this isn't professional gaming where we are on voice comms with perfect coordination. We were so incredibly reliant on ultimate's to win this. All they have to do is throw q's. I've seen this type of thing before, and it's almost always a slaughter.

In summary, I wish some of these uber high skill comps would be removed from rotation, it's rarely fun to play.

I've given this some thought because it does seem like certain champions are more common than others.

The first thing that you need to keep in mind is that the "random" draw of champions is only selected from the champion pool that the player has ownership of and the champions that the player does not own from the free rotation pool.

As strange as this may seem, some players actually crate accounts that they plan to only play ARAM with. With this intention, they will only acquire champions that they prefer to play in ARAM, making the odds of one of those champions being given to them as high as possible.

Their own rerolls and the ability to trade with teammates further increases these odds.

Also, you must remember that it is also likely that at least some of the champions that make up the free rotation and the other champion pool are taken up by the opposing team and their rerolls. Theoretically, as many as 30 of the possible 143 champions can be taken by EACH team and there are no duplicates on either side. That means up to 59 of the total champion pool can be eliminated which increases the odds of a player getting 1 champion that they prefer to play.

So, you're correct that it is not truly "random" .. but it is done this way because most players don't like to play champions that they don't know.

I have all of the available champions, and I will gladly play ALMOST any of them that is given to me, .. which is actually why I enjoy ARAM, because sometimes I simply don't want to pick who I'm going to play.

In a random mode like ARAM you're bound to get the occasional strong comp or two.

Also, "ARAM accounts" exist. These are accounts that only purchase strong ARAM picks and restrict themselves to the mode to increase their chances of winning.

I really doubt Riot is rigging the game behind the scenes.

I pretty much play aram exclusively.... I wish it auto-unlocked every champ for the mode.... :/

That's my only real complaint.... The comp stomps happen... Both ways
