Before down voting all I ask is you have the decency to at least read everything. (Side note: this is a smurf main is G3+ near plat, played since early S3 to lazy to switch accounts)

A while back Udyr had been nerfed due to the release of Runic Echo and how powerful it just was on him. Being it was giving him everything he wanted in stats. Move speed, AP, stacking AoE damage, mana regen, and amplified damage to neutral monsters. In which led to essentially the gutting of his phoenix stance. But what never made sense to me was the fact that because the AP item was so good on him they nerfed him, AND the item, and gave no compensation.

Now issues Udyr is severely suffering from would be starting with the stances, and how the nerf actually affected him greatly. Being Pheonix was used primarily to clear the early game, the hard hit to this stances damage relegated it to a state where if trying to use it; it's not that it's unplayable but it's useless due to the large amount of time it takes now to clear. Which shifts us toward his Tiger stance, which is his other DPS stance. The issue with using Tiger to clear mainly is that he begins to clear at the rate of some of the worst junglers in terms of time due to it's single target focus, and being one of the most important things a jungle needs is maintaining a fast timing.

Another thing I want to bring up is due to the way his abilities are set up, it makes him a melee duelist with no real dashing gap closer, so he's relegated to running at everything. This is such a issue because he's severely ravaged by kiting, and any form of ranged and or lock on cc. Not to mention come team fights, he has no real abilities that exactly turn the tides of a fight, an example champion would be Malphite, should Malphite land a five man knock up that essentially puts the enemy team in a bad position, this pretty much wins the fight almost automatically; but heading back to Udyr, you don't really have any play making abilities in your kit, if you run in chances are you'll soak in some of the basic abilities from champions or get chunked by the adc in autos and have to run out.

In essence tiger falls off a cliff late game because his team fight capability is non existent. And early Tiger clears at the rate of some of the slower jungles because of it's single target focus. Phoenixs damage has been nerfed into the ground which did hit things they wanted like his dps to champions, but also hitting his main clearing tool.

I do have some suggestions for Udyr. Take this with a grain of salt as it is merely a suggestion:

  • Giving Phoenix a max of three instead of five points and obviously tinkering the scaling around those three points; as well as making it learnable at level 1.

  • Giving Udyrs stances a noticeable persistent refreshing passive effect on the stances (what I mean is you never see the passive effect other than pheonix stance refresh itself after a delay even if you don't switch stances at all for a while.)

  • Adding a 25% or 35% AD scaling on the auto effect of pheonix stance and remove a chunk of the AP scaling
