Prediction Hooks

So id like to think im a above average (main support) player mostly on Thresh and Blitzcrank. I was wondering how often to other players go for prediction hooks? For example coming midlane to gank and throw a hook to predict a Kassadin ult or Ezreals jump? Id say for me I hit maybe 2/10 hooks landed on my predictions. I mean it looks great when I land those hooks but at times I look like an idiot throwing a Q out and missing greatly. Should I even bother in the competitive scene, or just stick to only regular hooks? To me it seems to be one of those great risk = great rewards.

I hope you mean rank when you say that. Cause if your a challenger level player and asking on the froums....... lets not go down that road.

So when you should always throw your hook in a way that you think that it is going to land. It does not matter if it is prediction hook or not. Though your team mates are going to think you are terrible if you constantly miss hooks.

What you should be thinking about is what are the chances are that this will land or am i just zoning out players so the ADC can farm and leave. Is the hook a hail marry that will screw you if it misses or do you think you have a read on the enemies movements.

I personally think you are going down the thought process wrong here.
