Unranked vs Plat ranks

I was gold 3 last season and I took a long break. I came back and played normal games solo or duo q. I always check the profiles of my teammates and enemies and I notice my teammates are always gold 3 highest and enemy team has at least 2 plats and 3 golds. WHAT THE FUCK is going on? I'm sure a lot of people are still playing this game. Why can't I get plats on my team if enemy team has to have 2 plats on theirs? Is the match making system still broken? My worst game was when I got Bronze and Unranked on my team vs they have 1 plats and 2 gold. I don't understand the logic. Step up your game Riot. You have a lot of employees and you're earning a lot of money with those skins you work so hard on. Stop neglecting match making system. Thank you.
