So.. I've got a keyboard that has 5 macro keys. ( Have the keyboard for over a year now and just realised there's 5 keys that i never use lol ). I was wondering if using macro keys would get me banned. Ex. I want to have a macro key that places down a ward and wardjumps to it ( Lee Sin ). Is that considered cheating ? Thank you !
Dynikus2 votesYes it is. The example of placing a ward and wardjumping was actually the one riot used for a macro that's not allowed, as it provides you with an unfair advantage.

Automating combinations is considered an unfair advantage since you can perform actions consistently with more precision than humanly possible. Something like a chat macro is fine, or you can rebind your abilities to whatever keys you want.

Chat macros are not, however.
Irelia Bot1 votesIf you are doing something like say making a Riven attack animation canceling macro or a lee sin ward hop ult macro that could result in a ban due to it providing a reliable and unfair advantage over players without access to them due to automating a combo.
If you are doing something like reassigning attack move click to a button on your mouse or keyboard which the league client easily enables with assignable hoykeys and is not an automation of a champs combo that is not going to result in a ban.
