really fun to play. he's been nerfed into absolute uselessness though. I'd recommend not spending the IP until you see a reasonable buff on PBE

whats PBE ??

public beta environment. it's where they test all of their balance changes before moving it onto live servers.

lol, He isn't an easy champ to learn.

Here's a tip from someone whose been here playing Heimer since S1. Don't base which champ you like/buy off of patch notes. Champs have high and low points in the meta, and Rito likes to enforce the meta. Base your champs off of your preferred playstyle. That way you can have fun, regardless of patch notes.

ok, I was just asking . cuz I hear ppl complaining that hes not good cuz of the patches. im mean he looks fun to play and looks like a champion I would want to learn :D

Don't get me wrong - he is really fun to play, especially once you get good at him.

But right now the range on his soldiers just makes you feel absolutely pitiful until your 40% cdr is hit. So pitiful that it's like a 4v5. You have less presence than a 0 stack Nasus.

so I should wait on getting him

They've got buffs for the soldier range lined up for next patch, so you should be fine. Current PBE value is 375, I think, whereas his original soldier range was 400, and his current is 325. You don't have to wait on getting him, I'd just suggest you wait on taking him out in your ranked promos ;)

EDIT: Seems from comments below you've just recently been informed of what the PBE is. If you want to keep up-to-date on what changes Riot's testing on there (which currently includes some very nice buffs for tank junglers), websites like http://www.surrenderat20.net/ keep track of what they push there.

I would say if he looks like someone fun to you and you don't mind learning the bird, then go for it!

Riot will buff him soon anyways, they've already called out some of the things they are trying. Go ahead and pick him up if you want to learn him, as now is as good a time as any.

so I should get him now or wait till patch 5.5

I think that is entirely up to you, but Honestly if I were in your shoes, I would get him and start learning ASAP, as he is a harder champion to learn and learning to use him when he is weak allows you to perform even better when he is at a decent power level.

That said, I always did learn best by "Trial by Fire"... Heimerdinger

This is good. You don't even need to choose a champ according to your play style. Try a champ during free week and if you like playing that champ, add him to your pool. If you don't like that champ, there are others you can try as well and hopefully some of the others will be added to your champ pool. Have fun with it!

EDIT: Basically, what I'm trying to say is this, go choose champs you want by feeling. :-)

Wait til Azir's buff goes through patch 5.5. He kind of sucks right now.

WhiteHoodedReape1 votes

ok I will

Watch a few Gameplay videos of him, watch the champion spotlight, take the recommendations you get from the forums, and then form your decision on whether or not he is worth it to you.

I bought Rengar a while back, and completely suck with him. While I wish I had bought Rek'sai instead, I still find Rengar fun to play, and worth my time/effort in getting him.

WhiteHoodedReape1 votes

I all ways do that before I buy a champ

Azir is very difficult to use, but quite fun when used correctly. While the patches may get crazy, he just has high and low points like everyone else. If you are unsure, you could always wait for a Free-week and play him first. If you do not wish to wait that long, watch some gameplay videos.

Not until he is buffed back.

Play him when he's on free week next time then decide if you still like him.

He is going to get some buffs soon that will undo a lot of what nerfed him out of viability, but just remember he takes a lot of time to learn. Very fun and rewarding to play, but certainly one of the hardest champs to play.

WhiteHoodedReape1 votes

ik he is , ill just keep playing with him. till I get good with him

He's really fun to play, and when you do something awesome, you feel like a sand-bird badass.

In terms of the patch notes, there's a buff in the beta notes to increase his soldier's range, and honestly he's still pretty powerful.

Really, if you dedicate yourself to a champion enough, anyone is viable!

He's really, really fun, but right now he's absolute trash

Volt Cruelerz1 votes

He's definitely not an easy champion to learn, so try him on free week/PBE before buying him to see if you can even stand playing as him. IMO he's super fun once you master him though.

Right now he's trash, but the buff that's currently on PBE makes him usable again. Also, because he can build sustained or burst, he's likely to remain relevant regardless of whether tanks come back into the meta or not.
