Tanks are completely oppressive in ARAM

Between rapid exp gain, respawn times, champion damage nerfs, healing relics, having the single strongest starter item, and poro summoner spells, tanks outscale almost every champion while having next to no counterplay. You can literally count the number of tanks in the game, and the team with more tanks wins at the very least 9 out of 10 times. There's essentially no incentive to play these games out when you know the outcome. Carry heavy team comps usually don't even take first tower because tanks hit 6 and wipe them. There's no reward at all for most assassins, damage heavy bruisers, or poke champs because their window of power is so excruciatingly small.

ARAM is literally all about team-fighting and sieging. ... Being able to soak and shed damage, as well as creating a number's advantage by locking down an enemy is actually what tanks are built for. .. So for them to be strong in that game mode is pretty expected.

No its not are you kidding me. Tanks were never top tier until they massively buffed exp gain in aram on top of nerfing the damage of every strong dps champion. And even if it is expected due to the current state of the game, It's disgusting balance to have them decide that many games.

Tanks were never top tier until they made poke not absurd so you could get to a point in the game where you were relevant. Now there is an actual late game condition and you cant just 1v5 as lux, ziggs, xerath, fiddle or the like.

And that's fine but replacing oppressive poke with oppressive statstick is not ok. If you're going to massively buff tanks then actually give the weaker dps or melee champions a fighting chance instead of making everything statstick.

They never really buffed tanks, and winrates on aram are all about even now.

That's because 1/3 of the games in aram are people who dont even join. A small winrate imbalance is incredibly oppressive in practice. At my mmr where people don't afk on start I've only seen tanks lose when there was an afk or there were 4+ tanks against strong dps.

And that's such a lie they never buffed tanks they deliberately added in a patch with poro and later exp buffs in order to buff tanks. Aram exp outpaces items by 3-4 levels compared to ranked. It's not even close how oppressive tanks are, which are all base stats. And of course it doesn't show as much in the winrate because all tanks benefit from the stat boosts of their base scalings and tanks can lose to other tanks and 1/3 of aram is people afking. It doesn't matter as much which tank is being played as much as just having two tanks adds 5k of base stats to your team. It severely mitigates any effect of good play and makes it about free stats.

Have full CC team on Aram will stop any tank, build Magic Pen or Armor Pen
