match making broken

i was in a game yesterday with a friend hes lvl25 i am lvl26 well 4 of the enemy sucked bad but one guy was way op to op he was 1 vs 3 and 4 and winning so after word i looked him up and at that moment he was plat 1 not last year but right now so why am i being matched with plat players how is this match system even close to fair i am not even level 30 why would people want to keep playing if that's going to happen it makes a real fun game not so fun there need to be a little fairness having a plat 1 vs 2 new guys isn't that fair
