Demoted from Gold 5 to silver 1?

So I recently just got demoted from gold 5 to silver 1 after just losing 2 games straight and i won 4 straight earlier too which makes no sense. Then I see a notification saying I got demoted from inactive queues in solo rank. i am not sure exactly what That means but I have been playing at least 3 games a day maybe with 1 or 2 days with no playing due to work but I play at LEAST 3 games a day most days. So I am not sure how that makes me inactive? Any experiecne that issue or know whats going on? Just hate to get demoted to silver from gold right before the season is over.

Were they ranked games or normal games?

They have been a mix playing with a friend hwo is level 27 but mostly ranked games though. I am looking at my game history. Still though. this is within a 10 day span of 10 ranked games it seems andlike 7 normal/custom games

I am just trying to figure out why I got demoted. Riot made it clear you can't drop tiers UNLESS you are inactive for 28 days which is where your LP will decay and you can drop or if you lose enouhg games in a row I believe which is not my case in the slightest. winning 4. losing 2 then getting demoted. wtf

Hello Summoners,

There's currently a bug with our messaging system that is causing players to receive the wrong notification after getting demoted.

Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers no longer receive decay for being inactive as of patch 4.18. Anyone in these tiers that is receiving a message in the client saying you were demoted because of inactivity should say that you were demoted for losing a game while at 0LP.

Basically you can also demote while at 0LP at the bottom of said Tier and losing there repeatedly matching the lowest ELO of the next bottom Tier.

A quick look at your match history on op.gg shows that you've been matched in ~1200MMR games, which means your personal MMR is in the 1300 range (roughly Silver IV).

You were demoted for low MMR. Unfortunately the demotion message incorrectly reports a demotion by inactivity.

The thing that was implemented back during season 3 was that if you ever went up a Tier you coudl play as much as you want in that tier without the fear of being demoted. They called it ladder anxiety. People were to afraid to play in a new tier in fear of getting dropped back into the tier below. They said as long as you are active and play you shouldn't drop out. obviously I am still winning in my tier since i won 4 straight then losing 2. I shouldnt get demoted due to that. It just makes zero sense.
