Not with ads. While the application is active, it is mining cryptocurrency. It's not exactly a malware, but it does use your graphics card to do it, so in a way you are paying with small amounts of life from your graphics card.

You can't run out of coins, challenges are free, and you get 20 coins guaranteed for every challenge you complete (just starting it and playing a game) and if you finish first in the challenge you get more. You use the coins to buy tickets for raffles or you can just buy a skin. (The skin cost is the skins cost in RP multiplied by 27)
