Fiora (Really Weak, Or Too OP)

So I've been playing a bit of Fiora lately, even into match ups like Darius and Vladimir. Most of my friends claim she's too easy to cc even with her dash on her Q. But is she honestly all that weak? even in these match ups I'll go positive and even win a game against a fed Garen who had died twice as well as being down by 28k Gold. Yet after late game we won even down by that much. So is she really worth learning at all? Ive asked my friends and they all think she isn't worth learning. But is she really that weak? Her laning phase can be a bitch but if you make it through that without dying you can easily comeback from the gold lose.

A fed Fiora is a nightmare, a non-fed Fiora is worthless even if she achieves a near full build (she is only useful if ahead, which is why her bullying is so cheese)

Blade Waltz needs to stick a scroll somewhere safe though, even behind that skill is super annoying.

She doesn't act like a duelist in game. She usually builds glasscannon and doesn't adjust her build unless she falls very far behind.

I don't know what Riot can do about her asides from reworking her, but they have already tried that once.

Fiora's ult is so dumb. A heavy damage point and click skill that makes her untargetable for the duration. It's the most newbie friendly, no skill ultimate the game has to offer.

Never once have I been ulted by Fiora and though "Man I got outplayed there". It just feels cheap from start to finish. They need to change her ult and give her some form of escape and she'd be in a better place.

Fiora is the definition of feast or famine. You either cheese and win outright, or get shut out and starve to death. However Fiora frequently makes it into the top ten win rates among champions. This is because very few players are prepared for just how ludicrous her early game damages can be, and don't respect her dueling potential. It also helps that Fiora has one of if not the lowest skill floors, and skill caps in the game(even lower than Master Yi's). Fiora isn't flexible either, she either jumps in and mauls somebody if not everybody, or dies pathetically doing nothing every time. With incredible snowball potential, a low skill floor/cap, straightforward and linear gameplay, etc. it leaves the burden of outplaying completely on her opponent. This leads to why Riot has been talking about a rework for a while now. Fiora as a elegant duelist thematically should be a more challenging to play, and needs to be more reliable in terms of gameplay... however she's basically Master Yi on easy mode currently, and only wins games when fed.

So should you learn Fiora? No not until they rework her!

Disclaimer: I'm actually excited to see what they will do with her. Hopefully its a complete rework or redesign of her kit, and not small changes. Also kinda hoping her rework doesn't end up like Yorick's and GP's on the back burner forever.

Fiora needs a rework. she's workable but only because she has so much offensive power that even a bad Fiora can guarantee themselves a single kill on any squishy target using one full rotation if that many is needed. Fiora isn't the duelist she should be imo, she focuses more on burst damage and assassination more than auto attacks and parrying imo. Dont get me wrong you'll be aaing more thna you'll be bursting a target down, however that is ironically the lesser half to her menacing nature. People don't fear a Fiora that can aa all day and parry anything at the right given moment.

They fear a Fiora that will Q, R, Hydra and kill them before they get a chance to respond. Fiora SHOULD be more about auto attacking and being able to out trade anyone 1v1 through the use of skills like parry. Skills that allow you to counter attack and continue being aggressive. She should be a more mechanically demanding Tryndamere in this respect. Being able to auto freely, sticking to targets and instead of an ultimate that just lets you mindlessly live to dish out more devastating unavoidable aa's, she has parry and something else that allows her to respond to any sort of counter attack, ranged or melee.

Of course her weakness would be a dog pile gang up in which she wouldn't be able to respond toe everything thrown at her. But yes that is her weakness, being pretty much useless if she doesnt have her ulti. 9/10 if a fiora doesnt have her ulti she wont be much of a threat at all in team fights, too easy too cc. I'd say learn her regardless of a near rework or not, she's still fun to play in this state and by playing such a feast or famine champ you kind of learn how to do a lot of htings you otherwise wouldnt be in the position to do. Not many people pick up champs that can carry hard and get good at it. If you learn Fiora you may learn to be a lot less passive, more decisive with your fights, learn how to gauge your damage, learn how to trade effectively and all this knowledge will creep into other champions and positions you will play later.

Reworking her is the only way. Fiora will just stay binary unless it happens.

Fiora is reasonably easy to counter. Items like item 3075 item 3110 item 3068 hurt her. Her "dash" is a point and click offensive dash, so it can't be used as an escape except under some circumstances. Her W is easy to see and wait out, and that's if you want to autoattack her. And her E hurts her too if you have thornmails and she's not building defenses.

And her ult, while it makes her untargetable, can be countered by item 3157 but it won't deal much damage if you're ahead or building a lot of armor.

Your friends are right, she is easy to cc. Her main issue is her lack of utility and escapes, which makes her useless outside of damage in a teamfight.

My main account is xx dragon xx. I have 50 games as fiora this season, because I loved playing her on diamond 4, all my way back to master. But after I reached master , I realized how weak she is against a competent opponent. Her Q CD is high as fuck, can't be used on a defensive way, but except that I think it is a good ability. Her W I think it simple sucks, except against GP. The damage doesn't scale of her AD, only gives 35 of AD at maximum ranked ( should be more a % like zed shadow ) , and only block basic attacks. Her E needs something more. She is supposed to burst you down, but 120% of atk speed means she has dps instead of burst. It is counter intuitive. Her ultimate definetely needs a rework. It got nerfed by lack of counterplay, but it is extremely weak in teamfights. In a 1v1, is only there to prevent you from dieing when both are low OR to dive a person you already snowballed.

She needs a rework, but right now, I think she is definetely UP

If they can't stop Fiora then she is incredibly strong. If Fiora gets fed, then she is terrifying.

Else she is meh.

Has no one seen Fi walk into lane at lvl 1 with 26 bonus AD? And continue to scale while in lane? People play her assassin, I happen to play her Bruiser. Typically, that assassin has 425 AD with 25% crit from item 3031 and 100% attack speed with her E and item 3153. ~Approximately. Disgusting, hard to duel, because of the damage, healing, and dodging skill shots/blocking Nas Q's and Gangplank shots all day.

One up side to her is the chase she has. if played right, IF, you CAN NOT ESCAPE HER. End of story. She has two dashes, a flash dash, and a long lasting Yi Q on her ult. Which follows you. Anywhere. If you try to TP out, she can time it, and follow you where you go. LIke Skarner used to do.

She is fun, but her kit could use a rework. Passive mostly, maybe anything else riot wants to do with her.

Totally worth, she's way fun any way you play her

Speaking of her passive, at max rank it is 25 HP over 6 seconds. Yas's shield at 18 is 690 HP worth. To generate, the same amount of sehilding as Yas, she has to get that 25 HP, 28 times. 25, over 6 seconds. Which means you have to wait 116.6667 seconds to get the same amount. That's at 1 stack though. Of course it is shorter at 4 stacks, but you have to be in combat, and Yas can ult, and get his shield back up.

I honestly think that Fiora is in a good place right now. She has an Attack Speed buff, her Q is really great for both the damage and the utilities that it offers, and her W buffs Damage and adds a nice parry. Her only drawback is her lack of CC and her squishyness.
