What mid laner should I learn if I'm just starting?
Who will give me the most necessary skills to be good?
Who will give me the most necessary skills to be good?
I would recommend Lux.
Easy to last hit with (E and passive), high utility (Snare, slow + vision, AoE shield), long-ranged and great burst damage.
She is fairly simple to play and useful even if you fall behind since you still have utility and enough damage to burst squishy targets.
lux is fairly safe but she does have more skill shots and dont get to easily nuke or build ap tanky like an ANNIE

Reasons?
She's one of the simplest champions. It helps you learn the actual game without having to take time and effort to learn and master the champion as well. By not having to master a high skillcap champion (Azir for example being one of the hardest), you can practice CSing/mechanics/roaming and knowing when to/warding/counterplaying/etc against your opponents better. And she's still quite strong in multiple ways.
easy champ, high burst... is safe in most match ups. she has a stun passive, a targeted nuke with Q which refunds mana when you last hit with it so it makes
start very strong on her. good range. W aoe spell , E a shield , and R an aoe burst spell that does massive damage.
can be built with many different items... can be ap tank if need be to be safe and still do max damage
also a simple way to get used to ability farming most annie users can very easily get 60-70% cs on first game
another good mid lane champ to pick up that is very easy is
and
also
and
all have unique and easy kits to learn
Ryze is not easy to learn imho.
reworked is very simple only took me 2 games to get all his abilities down
Well you have not mastered him at all then. Or your very much used to combos.
could be, play alot of yasuo and riven
Using his abilities is one thing.
Using them in the right order, in the right situation, while accounting for future situations is another
regardless youll need to play the champ a bit to get a feel for him however the new reworked ryze is very simple reading his abilities can very easily give you a centered grasp of how his is played
after annie you can branch out into

also can double as a support mage
Annie for standard easy mage. Zed for easy assassin. Diana for ap assassin. Cho gath for cc and tank
Zed isn't easy.
RIOT has the "starter pack" of champions, which include some of the original OG champs, these tend to be less mechanically intensive which takes pressure off of you and allows you to look at the games as a whole, the mini map, timers, objectives, items, gold, creep score and so fourth. These are probably your best bet, I personally used udyr, but can use other like annie, master yi and Garen. I know ryze is there but he got several reworks. hope this helps.

also you can use her at a support if need be as well... so you have a champ for two roles
Actually, i get the feeling annie is really BAD for a champ to start. Firstly, she has like unlimited mana, which hinders the starter to learn about the aspect of it. Second, she is like point and click. Which makes you not learn about skillshots Thirdly, her play potential is just flash and ult. You barely learn anything from that.
I reccomend Velkoz.
Really good auto attacks to learn how to cs with mages.
Good cc, and Q second cast which prompts you to land good shots.
Passive which makes you to learn how to combo.
One of the highest winrates in mid.
And yeah, nobody can resist the laser.
thank me later

Yeah, no.
Even as a current main of yasuo, I would never ever EVER suggest someone to learn mid with him.
There is so much micro involved in his lane phase, just not to feed, without worrying about the macro as well.
Azir is easy. Trust me*[slayer-jinx-wink]*
hmmm...I started off with TF(dont do that ffs) donger is funny because u can sit in between 3 turrets and spin on your head, let turrets and occasional dong bomb plus rockets do the work, zhonyas with ult'ed turret is RIP if they try to dive you.
issue with donger as a someone is trying to learn mid.. if you dont know how to position your turrets properly its a problem as he pushes the wave hard to turret nonstop and subject to ganks if he is out of position and dont know spacial awareness of turrets and gank paths of enemy jungler
Lux Leblanc if you're aiming for ap. Lux has nice farming and intuitive combos. leblanc is an assassin with surprisingly good farming and nice roaming. Going for ad i'd recommend talon for nice aoe.
Watch map movements from jungler That's why no one likes ganking me :p
Just rmb if they auto you when they're near your minion wave you can play aggressive and win trades
Ideal situation is to push your wave to help your team
To freeze lane and open enemy laner to Ganks is what you should try to do
watch the map to assist your team or to avoid ganks
Rmb to Ward sides
Pick something easy like Annie or morg They're not mechcanically heavy
I'd recommend Lux and maybe Ahri
Twisted Fate and Ryze. These are not my words, but Faker's. Every mid laner should know how to play Twisted Fate and Ryze. Twisted Fate because he teaches you to look at your minimap, and Ryze because he teaches you what keys to hit at what times.
That being said, that was regarding the old Ryze, so maybe not this new one.
Except, TF might not be the best champ to learn midlane with.
I mean, he's not the worst. He has good waveclear, somewhat sufficient mana source, simple combos, but you have lots of room to grow as well. He also has a game changing ultimate that can affect sidelanes.
Question, why are you Mid?
If you're doing it because:
Easy to carry games. Easiest to learn. You saw E-Sports.
Just don't. Its better to not specialize when leveling up and see what you like hands-on.
It's not because of that, I've tried them all and I liked mid the most with top a close second

AP Assassins

Super safe with decent utility. Xerath is the hardest to learn of the three mechanically, but probably has the safest lane phase. Morg is the easiest mechanically, but hardest to position in teamfights. Lux is a balance of both and best to start with, but is really mana hungry with CDR in extended fights.
For learning, I'd go with
She's entirely skill shot based, which forces you to learn to use them. The lack of mobility makes positioning more important (especially if you try and weave her passive in). She does both damage and has utility which means that you still have to pay attention to your team.
She's also exceedingly basic and easy to understand as a champion. Her optimal cases are fairly obvious, but her ceiling is reasonably high due to relying heavily on your own personal aim and positioning.
She's also flashy enough to get some cool moments out of, while being safe enough to be somewhat forgiving. If you ever decide to learn mobile assassin mid's start with LB.
She posses mobility, damage, CC and is not restricted to be a one trick pony, or entirely focused on skill shots. She has both good aoe dmg and team fight contribution as well as assassin capability. She is not stationary and too risky as are champs like Lux, Vel or Xerath.
Oh and good wave clear and sustain
When I started a year ago, I found myself using lux a lot for both mid and support. She's very easy to learn and master. So easy, a boosted animal such as myself can use. Even if she falls behind, just slap on a dark ring on feed off of assists and kills. when you land the q e r combo, you can almost smell the enemy team's spaghetti that has fallen out of their pockets.
Annie and lux are ussually the go tos for beginner mid lanes
is the best mid laner
