Bard Ult With Spell Shields

I was watching a higher elo game when I saw a enemy Sivir Spellshield a Bard's ult. I got to thinking could you do the thing with an allied bard. So I ran a couple of tests and these are the results. These tests were performed on allied champions.

Sivir's Spellshield: The wording reads "Sivir creates a magical barrier that lasts up to 1.5 seconds, blocking the next enemy ability used on Sivir." I didn't expect it to work and it didn't.

Nocture's Shroud of Darkness: The wording reads "Nocturne creates a barrier that blocks the next enemy spell that hits him within the next 1.5 seconds." Again i didn't expect it to work and it didn't.

Morgana's Black Shield: The wording reads "Morgana places a shield around the target friendly champion for up to 5 seconds, absorbing magic damage and preventing disables until the shield breaks. This one also didn't work.

Bard's Tempered Fate is an interesting and new type of ability that is a disable that even works on Baron, Dragon and Towers. It would make an interesting mechanic to allow your team to be able to use a Spellshield to negate the effects of Tempered Fate. It's the first disable that your teammates can use that affect you. Both Sivir's and Nocture's ability's state they work for enemy champions and could be keep as such. Morgana's black shield is supposed to work for all disables.

I hope you found this interesting and informative.

I'm kind of okay with this working for allies' abilities, but if you pop a friendly banshee's with it, I would argue it does more harm than good.

It's intended to be this way. I forget the reason they gave, but allies aren't supposed to be able to spell shield an ally Bard's ult.
