Riot, You Need To Improve Fantasy LCS Format

I really enjoy watching the NA and EU LCS. I enjoy the matches, the roster changes, and the match ups. I like players from both EU and NA, and I have teams that I cheer for. Over the last couple splits I have really enjoyed taking part in Fantasy LCS. I love being able to draft players, make predictions, and gauge future match ups.

To put it bluntly this split has been awful. The massive discrepancy in the value of EU players when compared to NA players, caused by a different format, and the lack of tools provided by Riot to compensate for those differences has completely ruined the experience for me. There is simply little to no reason to pick EU players as they aren't playing as many games and cant get the same level of points. And on weeks where one team is playing more than once, it creates a quick scramble to swap out players based on whoever the stronger team is. This is not strategy, this is not fun.

Not only has this significantly reduced the number of viable players I could have selected. And taken away a lot of the options I felt I had. It also destroyed the concept of making trades. No one will be willing to trade NA players. And EU players will only have value for 2 random weeks in the entire split. No one is going to make trades for EU players. Negotiating and making trades was one of the main reasons I played Fantasy League.

I want to be able to draft my favourite EU and NA players and keep them in my line up. I want to be able to make meaning full decisions with my roster. Not just automatically default to NA players simply because they play more games. If it is impossible for NA and EU to have the same split format, can we at least have the option to get points based solely on the players best game that week. That way it wouldn't matter as much if one team played more games then another. The system would only take into account the best results from a single match that week.

I would honestly prefer that it was equal for both NA and EU. That teams would play the same number of matches per week and there would be an equal opportunity for players to get points. I would also like to see improvements made to the trade option. It would be nice to be able to make package deals involving multiple players or teams. Rather then having to negotiate player swaps one by one. If would also be nice if there was an easy way to message players in your league to purpose trades. Currently you basically have to know the person or post on the message board which anyone can look at. This makes it harder for people who just want to create a random group of people but don't actually know anyone.

I agree completely. I made a fantasy LCS team out of habit this split, but really it just isn't interesting or entertaining. Which is odd, as I am watching more LCS games than ever now.

Yeah, completely agree with what you guys are saying. I've been ranking more this season but i think why watching Lcs is more entertaining is because its how the game is suppose to be played. Not 3 good players with 7 ppl screwing around, all 10 players are genuinely trying (all using communication, warding, ect). Its real league.

My biggest problem with this splits format is how they tried to say it was to help motivate ppl to be more active. The problem I saw in every fantasy was ppl stacking NA players because that's all they watch, and now that's more true then ever!

I feel like they just decentivized keeping up with EU that much more and thats especially apparent in fantasy. I just see Na stacked teams, who never change drafts, and never trade for EU players, because why would they. Took a lot of the purpose from being active away and now its more of a chore.

Hope they fix it soon, hopefully they'll see the boards and update the system to better accommodate the EU-match formatting.
