How does the Flex position work?

So if I have my full roster and one flex player, how are points totaled. Like if my Flex player is a Midlaner, will it count his score as well as my main Midlaner? Or if my midlaner did really badly does it make it so I can swap with the flex and use his score?

Sorry, first time playing Fantasy League.

Yes, the Flex position stands for "Flexible", meaning it can be any other player of any position. The Flex player will earn points at his/her position and be counted towards your total score every week. This is very useful if you are having a hard time choosing who to start at a certain position. If you think both of your midlaners will do well, then you can start one and Flex the other one. Another week you may want to start two ADCs or two top. It's up to you!

The Flex player's points are added to your total as a sixth player. So simple!
