LoL IRL! LARPLoL

Hey so I was just in the bathroom. The place we do all our best thinking, right? I was thinking about a dream I had last night of a real life Rift building (Yes I know I am playing wayyy too much, but I was lucien in the dream and I don't even own lucien... but Unicorns do!)

If LARP can become popular enough then LALoL probably could be too. You could use a nice big forest or some sort of arena. You could use laser tag style technology to simulate and regulate the timing of all your spells and attack speeds and lots of lights to indicate your HP to other players. Everything would still be computer generated except your personal movements! And visuals would be provided by laser like items... who knows? maybe even.. FIREWORKS!?!? nah lets stick to digital simulations. Hmm.. I'm not sure how you would do minions. If arena- Lights travelling along the floor w/some sort of punishment if you step on them without NUnitCollision. If you have the money, popup figures with a grid pattern all over the lanes. Huge startup costs, maybe huge revenue? Everyone could wear a camera and you could use an app to see what they see, or see what is near a ward (camera) you've placed As with all these types of things it relies on the honour system. There would be strict rules that you have to follow, like if you are suppressed you may not move. No using your arms or clothing to hide HP bars. The marshals would go collect expiring wards and serve to represent that the dragon has respawned.

Well.. it's quite a fantasy but I like it. I don't expect this to ever happen but I know if I had the chance I'd play League in Real Life.
