[Champion Suggestion] --- Ardeth; The Piltover Gunslinger
Hey guys, I have had this concept for quite a while, but never got around to posting it because I didn't think anyone would take it seriously. But now I have a bit more confidence in it's possibility.
So...
Backstory—Ardeth is a former Piltover Marshal who turned his back on the law when he saw Vi enter the police force; a move he thought was ripe with corruption and trickery. Now, a renegade gunslinger, he finds himself at odds with both cops and criminals as he struggles to find a new life away from the city he once called home.
In game, Ardeth plays as a high-damage ADC who focuses on getting up close and personal and attacking squishier ADCs with devastating shots from his twin revolvers.
PASSIVE - Saw It Comin'—Ardeth bilds up Awareness charges while he remains in combat. At 100 charges, Ardeth will dodge the next hostile basic attack or skillshot. ~Because Ardeth tends to do more damage at close range, he may tend to get CC'd down more quickly. This passive would give him a bit more leeway when engaging/disengaging.
Q - Slow, Steady Squeeze (target)—Ardeth takes his time to line up the perfect shot on target enemy champion. After a few moments, he fires at the target enemy champion dealing light/medium damage and applying on-hit effects. ~Basically, a smaller Caitlyn ultimate. Less range and MUCH less damage. I picture this ability costing a lot of mana and causing slightly more damage as a basic attack.
W - Reload (channel)—Ardeth reloads his pistols channeling for a couple seconds. After reloading, his next basic attack or Slow, Steady Squeeze will critically strike and deal additional true damage. However, if Ardeth takes ANY damage during the channel, Ardeth will panic and forget to reload causing his next basic attack or Slow, Steady Squeeze to automatically miss. ~This is the bread and butter of Ardeth's set. The crit/true damage creates great poking potential, and allows Ardeth to harass much better than other ADCs. Since he is playing a lot closer than other ADCs (like Caitlyn) the damage from reloaded shots will allow him to trade favorably. The failed reloads are essentially a check/balance in order to make sure people don't try and reload after every shot. I meant for this ability to be VERY telegraphable and I want Ardeth's opponent to attempt to stop a reload as often as possible.
E - Evading Stride (dash) - Ardeth dashes a short distance. If he collides with a champion during this dash, he immediately flips over them, slowing them for a short duration.
R - Piltover Five! (target)—Ardeth smacks target enemy champion with both his revolvers stunning them for a brief time. then, he immediately Reloads, and fires both pistols into the target, dealing tremendous damage (on top of Reload damage) and knocks all enemies in a cone in front of himself back. ~Like a high five...But with pistols. This ability gives Ardeth some heavier CC, and gives him some control over where his enemies will end up. This ability is used well with Parrying Flip to knock enemies closer to your support who, in turn, can continue to manage your (now ravaged) enemy. NOTE: The stun component and the knockback are meant to be two seperate moves. If the target has tenacity or can otherwise end the stun, they can flash or try to dash out of the way, and the followup attack can potentially miss the target.
Appearance—Ardeth is an ex-marshal of Piltover. As such, he dresses ruggedly, but very professionally. The way I would draw him out (if I could draw) is for him to have a sort of high-noon appearance (trenchcoat, cowboy hat, cigarette, etc.) However, I also feel this clashes with Caitlyn, Jinx, and Vi's apparel (which is more urban). Ardeth, alternatively, could wear something along the lines of a military style fashion or something along those lines, bit I feel like if he was dressed as military, he would naturally look burlier which I don't want. He should be small and nimble...not a burly beast.
Like I said, I have had this idea for a long time, but don't really know where to go from here. I hope you guys like it!
