[CHAMPION CONCEPT] Dart, the Mutant Insect

Kha'Zix is a good bug, but he doesn't really capture an insect image as much as a Zerg one. When I'm thinking of bugs, my thoughts turn to the swarms of biters I have to contend with every summer: mosquitoes, horse flies, deer flies, black flies, etc. Annoying as all hell, and easy to squish, but unlimited in number.

This concept tries to capture that ideal. A bug that annoys the hell out of you, and kills you with thousands of little bites, rather than cleaving you in two like Kha'Zix does.

Statistics (highly theoretical; suggestions are appreciated)

HP: 350 (+75)
HPR/5: 4.65 (+0.65)
MP: 200 (+40)
MPR/5: 5 (+0.4)
Attack: 48 (+3.4)
Range: 500
Armor: 10 (+3.2)
Magic Resistance: 30 (+0)
Attack Speed: 0.69 (+3.0%)
Movement Speed: 325

Abilities (Balance suggestions are greatly appreciated)

P - Frantic Flight

For every 2% of his health missing, Dart gains 1% increased movement speed, up to a maximum 35% bonus (maxes at 30% or less health).

Q - Hornet Missile

Dart fires a skillshot in target direction (800 range) that deals 20/40/60/80/100 (+0.75 bonus AD) physical damage to the first enemy it hits. If it hits an enemy, a Hornet minion is created at the impact point that will chase the target that was struck, attacking it mercilessly. Hornet minions last up to 3 seconds, are melee, attack rapidly, move quickly, and ignore unit collision. The Hornets' statistics scale with Dart's level. Dart stores a Hornet Missile every 14/13/12/11/10 seconds (reduced by CDR), up to a maximum of 2/3/4/5/6. Upon death, Dart will respawn with his maximum number of Hornets.

2 second cooldown. Costs 35 mana and 1 Ammo.

W - Locust Dive

Dart dashes in a target direction and surrounds himself with a swarm of locusts, which absorb up to 80/115/150/185/220 (+0.5AP) incoming damage for up to 3 seconds. The player may activate the skill a second time while the shield remains active to launch the swarm at a target enemy, sacrificing the shield to deal 70/110/150/190/230 (+0.8 bonus AD) physical damage to the target over 3 seconds. The shield (if still intact) automatically launches at the closest enemy target if it times out.

20/18/16/14/12 second cooldown. Costs 90 mana.

E - Deadly Swarm

Dart launches a swarm of bloodsucking flies in a target direction (skill-shot; 800 range). If the swarm collides with an enemy, the flies frenzy in an area around the point of impact (175-radius), dealing 90/150/210/270/330 (+0.9 bonus AD) (+0.3 AP) physical damage to all enemies in the AOE over three seconds (damage ticks every half-second), and slowing enemies in the AOE by 15/20/25/30/35%. The target that was directly struck also has its sight range reduced as long as it remains in the AOE.

10 second cooldown. Costs 70/75/80/85/90 mana.

R - Lord of the Flies

Dart releases a massive swarm of various insects to ravage all enemies in a cone (800 range, 60º width). Each target struck takes 200/400/600 (+1.0 AP) physical damage over 4 seconds plus 4/7/10% of its missing health every second.

100/90/80 second cooldown. Costs 100 mana.

Background (this will be getting changes in the future)

Twitch’s experiments in attempting to recreate the process that made him have, over the years, had multiple failures and mishaps, but the creation of Dart is perhaps the most unique result of his handiwork. Before he planned to experiment on any rats, Twitch opted to use other creatures for his experiments, not wanting to harm any of his “potential kin”. Said creatures included frogs, newts, birds, and of course, insects, among others. But for years, Twitch went without success, said failures partially attributable to the rat’s own insanity. On one occasion, Twitch’s experiments led to a unique accident. An incorrect mixture of concoctions led to an explosion in Twitch’s lab, causing various chemicals to spill onto one of his test subjects: a housefly. Within minutes, Twitch and the other scientists present watched in amazement as the fly began to mutate, increasing massively in size and growing various strange appendages along its body. And thus Dart came into existence.

Yet Dart was just as insane, if not more-so, than Twitch himself, calling himself “The King of All Insects”. With a shrill cry, Dart summoned to his side an infinite swarm of gnats, mosquitoes, flies, and all sorts of insects imaginable, all under his thrall and intent on tearing Twitch’s lab to shreds and all those in it. Though the Plague Rat escaped, several of Zaun’s scientists weren’t so lucky, and it took the intervention of the Institute of War to contain Dart, an endeavor that took two long weeks due to Dart’s unbelievable speed and mobility, as well as the host of insects at his command. Throughout the crisis, Zaun’s top scientists were shown Dart’s potential first-hand, and seized the opportunity almost immediately. Building an insect sanctum for Dart, as well as a means of containing him, Zaun quickly went to work in preparing Dart for the League of Legends. It didn’t take long for Dart to adapt to this lifestyle.

I think I’d like him more if he hadn’t tried to eat me. – Twitch, shortly after Dart’s “creation”

If the numbers seem a bit low, I'm playing on the safe side of things right now. Let me know what numbers you think would be best.

your ghost princess was good, but I think this could be a bit little kid-ish. Still support your first though :)
