[Fan Fiction] Reign of the Glorious Evolution (part 2)
The room was dark, and warm. Heat from the engines kept Lucian warm as he camped out for another night in his hideout. It was hard to sleep, nothing in this place sleeps, something is always moving, always working. The effort put into keeping this place alive, the resources needed, Lucian didn't need to imagine, he had seen it for himself. Xerath, a being he had heard of from Sivir was chained up in the heart of the building, his power draining out of him. He looked pacified, like he was a vegetable being kept alive for the sake of living. He couldn't complain, couldn't run away, just hung there in chains while his energies was taken from him to power this monolith. He wasn't the worst thing Lucian had seen on board, hundreds of people being experimented on, going through insurmountable pain just to see if power could be induced into them. His time on board made him understand what was happening, the black liquid would make your body unstable, and very much susceptible to change. Putting stress on the body forces it to try and adapt, to find a way to overcome the torment, and come out stronger than ever. The success rate was low, if the liquid itself did not kill you then the torture would, and those who did survive the experience would be changed forever, their minds so overcome by insanity they cannot remember what it was to be human anymore. Thats when the indoctrination would take place, different for everyone, depending on how mentally unstable they were. It was disgusting, a breach of human rights, of rights for any living being, Viktor was the kind of man who could consciously carry on with himself while this happened under his orders. What kind of twisted life must he of had to create such a man. Lucian was also changed, his intake of the black liquid made his body unstable, but he did not undergo the treatment, he had escaped his shackles a few months back. He ran with Sivir to find an exit from this dungeon, but became separated, he did not know what became of his companion, but he had not seen her since. Food was negligible on Acropolis, he would have starved if not for the void creatures. The ones considered too weak for evolution were kept in cages, for reasons he did not quite understand, perhaps they were food for something bigger. Lucian had a choice, he could succomb to starvation, or eat these creatures. Lucian would not die to this, he would live and escape from there, escape from the nightmare he agreed to enter. The more he ate, the more he changed, after a month he looked different, his skin turned a deep shade of magenta, eyes widened, allowing him to see better in the dark. his hair turned into tentacles and his teeth were sharpened like knives. In his head he could hear a voice, calling out to him, telling him to feed. It would have driven him to insanity, Lucian had to focus on something else to drive out the screaming. The past, such a lovely place to visit in times to distress, remembering nice memories to keep you sane. He remembered Senna, his love, the days they spent together brought him such bliss, and such sorrow. Senna was taken from him, her soul being held captive by Thresh. He vowed that he would not die until she was free, until they could be together again. This thought drove him, kept him alive for so long on Acropolis, for one day he will escape, and Senna will be free.
Acropolis began to move, slowly it lifted itself from the ground, each leg gradually lifting, forcing itself forward. Acropolis slowly moved towards the divide in the Ironspike Mountains, beginning the march of war anew. Left behind them was nothing but rubble, a desolation had set into the land, drained of its resources. Viktor thought it was funny, how some things are inevitable. Back when Cho'gath had his army, this was his objective, to consume the land leaving nothing behind, Cho'gath was stopped, but the event was only delayed. He thought about how inevitable destiny is, no matter how hard you try you can't stop the future from coming to pass, you can only adapt to its changes. He felt that he adapted quite well. After a week of constant movement, Acropolis had reached the pass, slowly making its way through the gap, just large enough to fit it. The mountains began to shake and rumble, large boulders were breaking off from the rock and collapsing on Acropolis, slowing down it movement to a halt. It was trapped, disabled by the land around it. In the cliff sides golems began to gather, above there were golems circling, like vultures waiting for a carcass to form. A surprise attack, Hex corp. had been waiting patiently for Viktor to come to them, anticipating the arrival of their stronghold. Viktor had somewhat expected this to happen, and had a plan to counteract it. It wouldn't be the first time he teleported to his old lab in Zaun, and that form of attack would be more effective as well. He just didn't think it had the same impact as a giant moving city outside your front gate. Taking down Hex corp was like taking down the security of the entire city, since Hex corp. provided most of the security with the weapons and golems to enforce the cities laws. One by one Viktors machines were teleported into the city, the charge led by the creator himself. He marched to the corporate HQ with his masses behind him, causing destruction with every step he took. No one could touch him, none dared to even look at him as he passed, the police force laid down their arms in his presence. At the foot of the building, Viktor was met by Hex Corp.'s CEO. A large, muscular blue man, wearing a pink shirt and light grey trousers. His proportions were almost comical, with his large upper body, and short stubby legs. Mundo Took off his sunglasses, so he could look Viktor straight in the eyes. Rage could clearly be seen from Mundo, it was a familiar feeling for him. Hex Corp. Golems began to gather around them, a ring was formed around Viktor and Mundo, it appears a duel was expected between the two of them. Viktor began sizing up his opponent, thinking about how much effort he would need to put into this fight, he recalled the last giant he fought, almost losing. "Would you like to arm yourself before we do this?" Viktor gestured to Mundo's briefcase and phone. Mundo shook his head and began to moved towards Viktor. Viktor tried to act quickly, throwing down his gravity field in front of Mundo. Mundo's pace began to slow, until he was brought to a stop, he began to heat up, emitting a searing amount of heat from his body. Slowly he lifted one foot past the other, moving out of the wormhole that was sucking him in. Mundo lunged towards Viktor, grabbing the tiny man and lifting him to his face. "MUNDO GOES WHERE HE PLEASES." Mundo smashed Viktor onto the ground, forming a large impact crater beneath him. Viktor's laser began to fire into Mundo's arm, causing violent explosions to emit from the impact points, reluctantly Mundo released his grip, losing the feeling and control in his arm. Viktor had to move, the heat Mundo was emitting was too much for him to bear for too long. He attacked with his Siphon, gaining the speed he needed to put some distance between the two of them. Viktor attacked with his laser again, aiming for Mundo's legs, trying to disable him. Explosions emitted from Mundo's knees but they were not strong enough to make him kneel. Mundo threw his brief case at Viktor, it was heavy, and the impact tore off Viktor's laser, it hurt, for Viktor it was like tearing off an arm. Viktor called forth his Chaos storm over Mundo, it began tearing him apart, one molecule at a time. Mundo reached into his pocket a drew out a syringe, plunging it into his chest, releasing the formula inside it. All of Mundo's wounds began to heal rapidly, as the storm tore him apart, he grew back what was lost. He was regenerating faster than the storm could destroy him. Mundo began to run at Viktor, he was fast, faster than before. Viktor tried to outpace him using his Siphon speed boost, but the speed was only temporary, soon Mundo was upon him. Mundo broke his own finger, the pain was excruciating for him, but it mended itself almost immediately. Mundo punched down at Viktor, missing him slightly but causing a shockwave to emit from the impact on the ground. Viktor fell, and began to crawl away from Mundo, he was in trouble, an all too familiar feeling from when he fought Sion. His hand gripped something, it was his laser. Viktor moved his fingers into its hole and fired the laser through Mundo's head. Mundo fell, and stopped regenerating. His body was slowly disintegrated by the storm until there was nothing left of him. Hex corp. had fallen.
