In a certain village in Ionia, The Noxians chose to unleash a nightmarish chemical attack on the village killing many. But a certain boy named Rend barely survived. As he wakes up his vision is blurred from the chemicals, he drags himself up and escapes the village. He spots a man in the distance and hastily sprints to the man thinking he was a survivor from the village. When he finally reaches the man he is greeted with the blunt end of the axe, the pain alone could've killed him. Before he passed out he notices the design of the armor, the man was wearing armor made in Noxus. As he wakes up in a cell in a Noxus camp he realized the situation he was in. He was locked in a cell with armed soldiers staring at him almost like they were waiting for him to wake up. One of the solders said," Care to explain yourself before you died". He tried to speak but nothing came out and the thrist he was feeling is making it worst. The soldiers laughed at his misery, they obviousy drugged him. But the thing that was worst than losing the ability to speak is losing the ability of Wuju. When he realized he lost the ability to control Wuju it made him feel like he wanted to end his own life. As a practitioner of Wuju, losing the ability to control it is like losing the ability to breathe. He spots the man he encountored before, The man was holding keys in his left hand and the giant axe he has seen before in his right. The man opened the cell and the soldiers quicky brought Rend down on the floor leaving his head open for the execution. The man raised his axe up ready for execution and for a split second he felt his Wuju energy surged thourgh him. The man brought his axe down to beheaded him and Rend pushed the soldiers away and stopped the axe with his bare hands. The soldiers drew their swords to attack but the man with the axe commanded them to stop. He turned to Rend and said," you have some skill, it will surely be wasted if you died". " I offer u a choice",he said," join Noxus and train under me or die by my soldiers". Rend knew he couldn't negotiate with them so he accepted his offer and left his past with Ionia behind.
