Passive: Cannibalism

Each time Sion deals damage to an enemy unit with a basic attack or ability, he devours a bit of its flesh, storing a stack of Cannibalism in his resource bar, max 10 stacks. Sion gains 1% bonus Life Steal for each stack of Cannibalism he has. At 10 stacks, Sion's next basic attack gains 30% additional bonus Life Steal and reduces his cooldowns' abilities by 2 seconds and consumes the stacks. (For a total of 40% Life Steal on that attack.) The stacks will decay after 4 seconds if a spell or basic attack has not been used.

Additionally, Sion permanently gains 2 maximum Health each time he kills a unit. This bonus is doubled against champions, large minions, and large monsters.

Sion marks a target 150-radius area causing it to rot, slowing enemies within it by 15%. After 1.25 seconds, any enemies within the area are grabbed by skeletal hands from the ground, dealing magic damage and rooting them for a scaling duration.

  • Damage: 80 / 115 / 150 / 185 / 220 (+60% AP)
  • Root Duration: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 Seconds

http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110926144902/leagueoflegends/images/1/1c/Viscundate.png ##W: Fleshflaying || No Cost || Cooldown: 20

Passive: Sion gathers flayed skin from units he damages with basic attacks or Murderous Reap, storing a stack of Flesh for each unit damaged. The charge cap increases with ranks in Fleshflaying.

Active: Sion used the flayed skin he's gathered to form a shield for the next 5 seconds. The shield's value is equal to 0.5% of Sion's maximum Health per stack of Flesh. The putrid air around the shield slows enemies within 150 range of Sion as long as the shield persists.

  • Flesh Stack Cap: 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10
  • Slow: 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20%

http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110926144851/leagueoflegends/images/f/fd/Spirit_Feast.png ##E: Murderous Reap || Range: 650 || Cost: 5% of Current Health || Cooldown: 9

Sion brutally swings his axe across the battlefield in a 70% cone in front of him, dealing physical damage to enemies. Enemies within 325 range of Sion receive 30% additional damage.

If Murderous Reap is cast while Sion's Cannibalism bar is full, it consumes the stacks and heals Sion for 5% of the total damage dealt within Murderous Reap's range.

  • Physical Damage: 55 / 90 / 125 / 150 / 175 (+80% Bonus AD)
  • Inner Area Physical Damage: 91 / 130 / 169 / 208 / 247 (+104% Bonus AD)

Passive: Sion gains bonus AD equal to a percentage of his maximum health. The bonus AD caps at 40. This bonus is not active if Bellow of Undeath is on cooldown.

**Active: ** For the next 10 / 12.5 / 15 seconds, Sion's Cannibalism bar is treated as always full and he gains bonus Attack Speed as well as doubling the passive AD. In addition, whenever Sion's Health is healed from any source, allies within 200 range are healed for half that amount.

If Sion is killed during Bellow of Undeath, he revives after a 1.5 second delay with a percentage of his maximum Health and gaining a small movement speed buff for 2.5 seconds, but ending the duration of Bellow of Undeath.

  • Passive Bonus AD: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5% of Sion's Maximum Health
  • Bonus Attack Speed: 50 / 65 / 80%
  • Max Health on Revive: 30 / 40 / 50%
  • Movement speed: 20 / 25 / 30%

I don't know where you are aiming Sion to be as a champ. I see him as a zombie, not an AD caster of doom and assassinations.

I'm aware he needs a rework but none of his ability's are even similar, they are completely different and that's not how I imagine his rework(s) in the future.

Passive: Sion will be casting spell more then worrying about basic attacks. How do you view both flesh stacks and passive stacks at the same time?

Q: Carpal Clutch should not be a targeted ability; I see Carpal Clutch as a point and click aoe slow then deathly damages. He shouldn't be guided by AD scalings as Sion is a tanky champion, not an instant murderous assassin. (One Q and one E is an instakill for any squishy champ with those huge base stats and AD scalings).

W: This makes his kit even more confusing. Not only do you have to keep track of Cannibalism stacks, but also flesh stacks. And just like his passive, it never wears away, so there is pretty much no use for having to basic attack or E things to get stacks when you have a whopping 20 seconds to collect them. Also the aoe slow shield is a good idea because you will need to be close to your opponents to hammer them with basic attacks and wreck their already gone health bar.

E: ...I'm speechless. How does one swing and axe in a cone shape? Also this is death. There is no need for anything, all you gotta do is waltz up to someone within 325 range press E then Q and bye bye health bar and waltz back to lane.

R: If Sion had 4000 HP he would get 60 AD. With the ult that is 120. As if he wasn't broken enough he just gets a free 120 hp if he builds full tank. 80% ATTACK SPEED?????? The revive doesn't really fit him as he is dead themed and living is not on his agenda, also it's really unoriginal.

I can see a lot of work and time put into this +1 like.

this is perfect for a rework

This is actually really cool. I love the idea of his attacks and think that it's a great moveset. Hope Riot considers these ideas.

I believe it's the best rework I've seen yet, although I do think the slow needs to be an AoE-type skillshot, sort of like Varus or Mal. Also, maybe just make the E sort of like a Cleave active (not passive)

People complaining about him scaling off of AD makes no sense. In Sion's details they list him (currently) as a Fighter (primary) and a Mage (secondary). This caters to the Fighter part, making him a good bruiser, NOT an assassin. I also would expect to see more Sion jungle picks with this kite, which would be refreshing.

I foresee this Sion being a fighter and a tank, since it appears all AP scaling has been completely removed.

It might need some number adjustments but it is an alright place to start.

Nice...

This was a pretty rough draft on my part, mostly to jot down and think of ideas. I didn't actually ask for it to be posted here, though it was a nice gesture.

For the time being, I'm more invested in working on something for Urgot than Sion.

To be honest this kit needs a weakness. He has a bunch of slows and a damage ability that goes as far as caitlyn range, so he can't be kited easily. He has a shield and an ult that makes him incredibly tanky and deal tons of damage while bringing team utility on par with raka heals, so he's an amazing duelist and will survive team fights easy. His abilities cost health, which his kit lets him easily regain, so you're not going to be able to wait for him to run out of mana to engage.

And that ult seems really broken, It's like a better tryndamere ult that lets him heal allies, do more damage, and if he dies, he gets back up even stronger.

To me, this kit sounds more like the Necron Flayed Ones from Warhammer, 40,000, e.g. a clawed monster (Edward Scissorhands, anyone?) that rips chunks of flesh off of other people, things, to wear as a trophy. Image for reference.

Not sure why you would post this now though; they are currently-as-we-speak-right-now-at-this-point-in-time reworking Sion, and they said it was one of their main focuses for now.

This really just seems like a stronger Aatrox imo, the amount of innate sustain/team sustain is ridiculous. He also has far too much cc for the amount of raw 1v1 potential, I dont see him ever losing a 1v1 vs any melee with this kit then if the enemy tries to run they just get permaslowed/rooted. His kit just seems really overloaded to me, but i also know literally nothing about balance.

Whoever wrote this page is clearly inexperienced with character balancing.

His shield has a strength of 5% of his max health at best. That's a really pitiful number, especially on a champion that needs to build at least partially for offense. I don't know if whether you should buff, rework, or replace that ability, but I do know a number like 5% max health is near-useless for a shield on a 20-second cooldown, especially since the rest of the ability's utility is based on keeping the shield up.
