{Rework Concept} Mordekaiser, The Master of Pain
I have spent some time contemplating and testing Mordekaiser.
His abilities in game CAN be strong, but to get to that point is incredibly difficult due to a lack of early-game power and a ridiculous dependence on items to be effective.
I read through his lore, his title did not make sense when compared to it, nor did his abilities, except for his ult, which matched his lore perfectly.
So here is my attempt at a Mordekaiser kit rework, an overhaul of the mechanics of his abilities, whilst maintaing the basic themes, ideas, (and accidentally keeping the shape and range) of his abilities.
Note, I do not intend to force Riot into any position whatsoever, Mordekaiser is very very low on my personal list of champions who actually need reworks, I just saw some discrepancy and wanted to try my hand, if Rioters read this, please simply take this as a source of possible ideas, maybe something here will spark your imagination and bring about the next Morde!
Passive: Sickness- The sickness, pain, and agony of his victims fuels Mordekaiser, he Acquires shield for 2/3/4/5% of all damage nearby enemies (minion or champion, no neutrals) take, maxing at 100 (+25 per level) However, his abilities cost health.
Q: Suffering- Mordekaiser's next attack against a champion breaks all the bones in his target's body, dealing 60/120/160/200/240 (+.07 per point of HP. Over the next 5 seconds the target accumulates a stack of pain every .5 seconds of movement (the time allotted for movement is consistent, you cant rapidly click and press S to dodge it), after 5 seconds, they are stunned for .20 seconds per stack accumulated and all stacks are consumed. Cost: 40/60/80/100/120 HP Range: Melee Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12
W: Destruction- Upon activation, Mordekaiser becomes a conduit of destruction for 5 seconds, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+.02 per point of HP) per second to nearby enemies, if enemies are too close, they are also slowed by 10%. Cost: 40/70/100/130/160 HP Damage Radius:200 units Slow Radius: 100 units Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10
E: Agony- Mordekaiser flashes a wave of intense agony in a cone in front of him, Dealing 50/100/150/200/250 (+.1 per point of HP) damage, after reaching the end of the cone, the damage is echoed at 30% and the targets hit are slightly pulled in the direction of Mordekaiser, this counts as an interrupt.
R: Death- Upon activation, Mordekaiser's passive shield gain is increase by 50%, and all nearby enemies will take 20% more damage from Mordekaiser (but not his allies). The first enemy Mordekaiser kills or gets an assist in killing has its soul enslaved to Mordekaiser, temporarily granting him a Soul minion (the minions stats are 50% of the targets stats plus 50% of Mordekaiser's stats, the appearance is that of the target, the soul minion will also deal 20% more damage on basic attacks)
The emotes and animations on mordekaiser desperately need to be updated (Those pizza feet are old leftovers). Of that i am assured.
Again, this is merely to spark ideas, either for a morde rework or for a new champion, or maybe a dif champion, etc. I do not expect Riot to put this into place (although if you wanted to for whatever reason, I dont want any credit for it) I simply expect it to be read.
