Fate/Stay Night Fans, Gather Around!
So if you're a fan of Fate/Stay Night, you guys have probably already heard of the new remake of Fate/Stay Night by Ufotable. Those of who haven't - download the visual novel or watch Fate/Zero, THEN watch Fate/Stay Night. Totally worth it, trust me.
Anyway, the point is this - I might decide to do a crossover fanfic between Fate/Stay Night and League. The premises are surprisingly similar - switch out summoners with Masters, champions with Servants, the League of Legends with the Holy Grail War, and the summoners have a lot less control than one would like over the champions. Now, I know you guys are all glaring at me right now, but the Masters are all going to be OCs and the Servants are gonna be the champions, so Fate/Stay Night canons are not gonna be here. I doubt I could write as them well enough anyway, given their backstory and complex character development.
If you guys are wondering what is the overarching plot, it's this: The Holy Grail is an ancient artifact that appears once every century, with the power to grant one wish. To decide who would get this wish, seven Magi (equivalent of summoners) summon Servants - incredibly powerful figures from history and myth that can range from King Arthur to Heracles to Siegfried. Once summoned, each Master has three Command Seals - an emblem on the back of their hand. These Command Seals are used to ensure a Servant's obedience: If a Command Seal is used when an order to the Master's respective Servant is given, the order MUST be fulfilled, no matter how distasteful or horrid the Servant finds it or if it goes against self-preservation. That being said, the Command Seals are not to be used willy-nilly. If the Command Seals are used up and your Servant isn't loyal to you...
Now then, if you haven't been completely confused yet, I still have to introduce the Servant classes. There's typically one of each class in a war, meaning seven total Servants, but I'm pondering a war with two factions - which would mean fourteen Servants. More room to work with, though much more complicated. In addition, I'm adding in an eighth class out of necessity. You'll see why as you read on. Also, before I forget to mention, the Servants have something called a Noble Phantasm - their most powerful weapon or ability or summon they have. It was the very thing that had made the Servants known in the first place, as every legendary hero has a legendary weapon. I'll probably make the ults the Noble Phantasm, but you never know.
Anyway, the Servant classes are as follows:
Saber - Master of the sword, these knights of honor carry themselves with dignity. Serving their lord and Master, they carry out their duties as any faithful knight would. The Saber class is considered the most powerful yet balanced stat-wise and skill-wise, yet do not have exceptional specialties in one area or another. Most likely going to be bruisers-type champions.
Archer - Distance is ever a friend and ally to these types. The Archer class, as the name describes, focuses on fighting from ranged using weapons - be they enhanced by magic or no. Often the pragmatic ones, they know they can't last that well in a head-to-head confrontation, much preferring fighting at a safe distance and striking from vantage points. Most likely going to be most ADC and maybe a few AP champions.
Lancer - The spear is the most ancient weapon of humankind, ever since we were primitive cavemen living in fear of predators - so is it any surprise that we have become so adept at the spear? These warriors are often some of the fastest Servants, and their skill of arms is nothing to laugh at either. For the safe of practicality, I'm including staves as part of the Lancer class as well - there's just simply not enough spear or trident users in League to heave that many Lancer classes around.
Rider - Some might prefer to charge into battle on foot. Others prefer a might mount to ride in with. The Rider class often has a vehicle or creature that serves as their summon, and the force of said being is often something to behold. However, by no means does that mean the Rider by themselves are helpless - though not as much as a Saber or a Lancer, they can still hold their own very well in a pitched battle by themselves.
Caster - Magic is not an art for the craven or the weak. The Caster class is adept at many forms of magic, reciting many arcane spells of many functions to bring down their foes - be it by direct combat or by ill means. However, because they have dedicated themselves so much to studying magic, many have not received training in the arts of the warrior, leaving them at a huge disadvantage if their spells do not finish the job. Still, good luck trying to get close to them.
Assassin - Any fool can simply charge in, screaming and swinging a sword. However, to be able to remove important enemies with all the precision of a surgeon removing a tumor takes true skill. The Assassin class eschews direct combat in favor of subtlety. Although a good deal weaker than a Saber or Rider, they were never meant to fight them. They have a unique skill which allows them to conceal their presence and hide their will, allowing them to move in the shadows undetected... and strike when their target's guard is down.
Berserker - Skill and technique were created as a response to shortcomings - of strength, of speed, of power. What need of a Berserker has of those if they already have all the resources they could want in abundance? The Berserker has immense speed, strength, and power, much greater than any of the other classes. However, in order to have this strength, they had to sacrifice their sanity, reducing them to mere beasts and barring them from using their Noble Phantasms. Because of that, they often understand no more tactics than charge, but they have enough power to make such recklessness work.
Shielder - Completely original class! Made as a necessity or we'd be seeing a lot more Berserkers than I'd like. Sometimes, the best offense is a good defense - and the Shielder class takes this to a whole new level. Known for their exceptional power and strength, once they choose to fortify themselves, there is no getting past them unless they wish it. They have sacrificed offense and speed to do so, but in the end, their objective is to protect and survive.... and if they have a chance, to counter and kill. Any Master with a Shielder is probably guaranteed to be unharmed... provided the Shielder is always vigilant.
Now, moving on, here's the champions and the classes I think they should belong in. Some of these I'll put notes in, because I'll be questioning whether they belong in a certain class or not. Some of these have more than one class because they qualify (in my opinion) for them, but they can be one class ONLY.
Saber, Caster? (His use of blood magic could qualify, but leaning more towards Saber.)
Caster
Assassin
Berserker, Shielder
Caster, Shielder
Caster

Archer (duh)
Caster

Caster
Shielder (duh. Again.)
Archer
Caster
Berserker
Rider
Berserker (despite him being the tank in the game, I really doubt with his personality he'd qualify to be a Shielder)
Saber, Caster, Assassin
Berserker
Archer
Caster, Assassin? (Poison attacks and that spider form have potential for the Assassin class)
Caster?, Assassin? (Can't make up my mind, given her permanent invisibility on one hand and her magic abilities on the other)
Archer/Caster? (Ezreal uses an artifact that is shaped like a bow to fire magic projectiles, but all his spells...)
Caster
Saber
Lancer
Shielder
Saber, Archer, Rider
Saber, Shielder
Archer (mini-Gnar), Berserker (Mega-Gnar)
Archer?, Caster? (He throws kegs of alcohol at people, but it's been magically embued. I don't know...)
Archer
Rider
Caster? (Um... I'm not sure what to make of his turrets. Magitech, I guess...?)
Saber
Caster
Lancer, Shielder
Lancer
Archer (there's no good class for his hammer form, but that doesn't mean he can't switch weapon modes while he's an Archer)
Archer
Caster
Caster
Saber?, Caster, Assassin? (given his Nether Blade and Riftwalk abilities, he has the potential for either class. Still leaning more towards Caster)
Assassin
Saber. Caster
Caster?, Assassin (lightning jutsu. Ugh...)

Caster, Assassin? (With all her illusions, Assassin could also be up her alley)

Lancer, Berserker, Shielder

Archer, Lancer, Caster (Javelin tossing, panther transforming wild huntress? Aye yai yai!)
Assassin

Whew. That was a doozy to write. And don't ask me why I wrote this all at 1 am in the morning - I'm wonky that way. Anyhoo, if you guys have questions or suggestions, post them down below. I'd love to hear opinions!
