Today is a very important day, I have been an Intern for Jayce for months but there has been no greater task assigned to as the one i am to do right now; taking notes on the meeting between the greatest scientist in Runeterra. To think i would get a spot inside on one of the most important meetings happening this week! Before all i could do was fetch equipment for Jayce or deliver packages for him, but now, maybe this is a level of trust that come between a boss and his right hand man, his next in line, his soon to be top scientist! Let's see here, there are quite a few big names here. Heimerdinger, Ziggs, Rumble, Jayce of course, that villain Viktor is here, i'm getting a bad vibe off Warwick, i dont even want to describe what i am getting off of Singed. Good to see Ezreal here, though i don't see why, he isn't a scientist as much as he is an explorer. Janna is also here, well i heard she was a keen supporter of the development of techmaturgy, well let's see if she can follow what's happening in this meeting as well as i can. Finally, a surprise entrance by Yasuo, how did he even get an invite to a meeting of the greatest minds? What does he have to offer? Well it seems the meeting is about to start, better begin.
Heimerdinger welcomes everyone here, he's so kind thanking everyone individually, even mentioned me! The meeting begins with Heimerdinger and Ziggs telling us of some kind of Mech suit they built for Rumble as an acknowledgement of his achievements. Rumble seems ecstatic, and said "with such a great machine, fit for such a hero as myself, i shall now grant myself the title of....er.....SUPER........Space, no, um GALAXY Rumble! I will become a hero that will get us through these tragic times!" It was fair to say that Heimerdinger felt embarrassed to be associated with Rumble after that, Ziggs seemed very excited at the prospect of a machine he worked on being used in such a way. "I dont see the need for a hero, based on what i have heard and read in the news, there was only a small increase in the Void population, nothing to get worked up about." That was probably something i meant to say in my head, i had the attention of the room, getting a glare from that swordsman felt like i was gonna get cut soon. The awkwardness was dispersed by Janna asking Yasuo to fill me in on the situation.
"Well it started with the war between the clan of Zed's shadow ninja's and the Kinkou. Zed attacked them with his forces in the night, hoping to settle things between him and Shen once and for all. The battle went on for days with no clear winner. Zed managed to kill Akali and Shen, but ended up extremely weakened. Kennen managed to escape the fight when it was clear that defeat was imminent. The strength of Ionia was at an all time low, i don't know if the Void creatures were waiting for that, or if it was a complete coincidence. But it was then when they attacked. The creatures themselves weren't difficult to defeat, but they came in an overwhelming number. They had 3 small eyes down the sides of their face, their hands and feet were like the claws of a bird, the tail sharpened like a sword, their colour was something between purple and red. They weren't big, well at least the runts weren't, if i had to compare they were the size of a yordle, and their Alpha was the size of a man. i had to run from them, i knew that with our strength being as it is, the island wasn't long for this world. I had to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, perhaps this time i got it right. When i got to the docks it was already under attack, Kennen, Varus, Wukong and Lee Sin were there fighting off the creatures while the non-fighters boarded the ships, they were being overrun. With my help i hoped to turn the tide of the battle, and it was working for a time. But then a new creature came down, similar to the other creatures. I suspect it was a queen of some sort. It was massive in size, the only close comparison i could give would be Malphite. She devoured Wukong, and after a short struggle, she also consumed Lee sin. It's not without regret that we had to leave any remaining civilians on the island or risk losing everyone entirely." Yasuo struggled to say the last part, tears began to trickle down his face. Who knows the horrors that he omitted from from his report due to the pain it would cause him. "The ships dropped us off here at Piltover, where you are now harbouring our refugees, Varus and Kennen left to ask aid of Frejord."
I never knew that things had gotten this bad. The news articles make things out to be fine and dandy. Discussions began on how to deal with the oncoming threat of a void attack. Heimerdinger suggested lining the perimeter of the city in turrets to destroy any creature before it got close. Jayce suggested arming the law enforcement with higher powered weaponry, and perhaps starting a citizen defense force. Signed recommended creating a chemical that will only harm void creatures. All of these seemed valid points. but Viktor was out of patience.
"You are all fools! You see this Void threat as an impediment to our survival. You lack vision, we can use these creatures against themselves and against anyone else who could stand in our way. Think about it, we mechanise the creatures and put them into our control! we can quell the infestation and become the most powerful force that has ever been on this continent." He had everyones attention, but Jayce was furious. "Are you seriously considering the plan of this mad man? Look at him, look at what he had done to himself, he is barely a human anymore, more machine than anything. Is this what we want for the future, to become mindless robots? I refuse to work with him under that pretext!" "Jayce has a point" interjected Heimerdinger, "We shouldn't be converting living organisms into machines. To start with, it would stop their evolution process, not to mention the process is irreversible. But i feel that you do have the right idea. Perhaps creating machines to combat these creatures would saves the lives of millions of soldiers." Viktor began his outburst, "YOU FOOLS, YOU ARE BLIND. THIS IS THE FINAL STAGE OF EVOLUTION. THIS IS THE LOGICAL FINISH. YOU ARE TOO SCARED TO SEE THE BENEFITS OF THIS POWER. YOU CANNOT STOP THIS, I HAVE ALREADY EMPLOYED THE ASSISTANCE OF RENGAR TO CAPTURE KHA'ZIX SO HE CAN BE CONVERTED." After a few minutes of arguing, Viktor was escorted out of the room by Jayce. Afterwards the scientists agreed that creating machines based on existing creatures and heroes was the best course of action. They would also make use of Kha'zix to design a prototype. But until it could be made a quicker solution must be devised. Ezreal presented a tablet that he found in a temple, depicting a machine that merges with the hosts body to protect them and to increase their fighting capabilities. He said that it gets stronger the longer you fight. He asked us if we could use it in the experiments. After a short discussion it was agreed that he was to find it and to bring it to them.
Janna suggested that they incorporate Hextech sciences in their weapons to create Golems based on Anivia and Galio. Singed agreed with the idea, but he was the only one. Singed, Warwick and Janna leaves the room.
Yasuo begins to leave, but is stopped by Jayce. Jayce suggest that Yasuo works with him on a project to improve Yasuo's fighting capabilities. Yasuo reluctantly agrees. The meeting is adjourned.
Now begins the meeting between Noxian high Command, and the Demacian elite. This meeting is to decide on the best course of action to deal with the new threat of Void creatures, and to put a temporary peace treaty in place until the threat has been dealt with. It is regrettable to say that scout to Icathia has detected a large gathering of the Void creatures, and they appear to be lead by the one designated as Cho'Gath. If left unchecked they will devour everything in this world. To combat this threat, a joint force of Demacian and Noxian elite forces must be established. This combined force shall be called the 'Steel Legion'. All in favour raise your hand. Everyone raises hands Now the plan will be told by Jericho Swain. "Greetings. The plan is as follows. We shall gather the Steel Legion at Mogron Pass, it is the only place in the Great Barrier that allows access to our half of the continent, so defending it is a top priority. It also provides a choke point, which will make their numbers irrelevant. An advanced party will also be sent to evacuate places like Bandle city and anyone living in the Shurima desert. This force will be designated as 'Woad forces'. Now for equipment, the Steel Legion will be equipped with heavy armour and advanced weaponry designed by scientists from Zaun. The Woad forces will be equipped with light armour and any personal equipment that they may request. Once evacuated, the civillains will be escorted with the help of hired mercenaries, lead by Sivir, and i am sure the Nasus, Renekton and Azir would also be willing to assist as well." "We shall also be employing the use of a few mercenaries and heroes to assist the Steel Legion. Jax will be employed, and given what he called 'a real weapon', Sona will be there to provide support to the injured, Twisted Fate was paid a large sum of money to assist, providing vision and information on enemy positions. The Blood Lord Vladimir will also be there, and the Zaun Amorphous Combatant has also been enlisted in the defence. We also managed to convince Riven to help us in the vangaurd. Against my better judgement, we have also asked Dr Mundo to assists in the medical bays. We tried to get soraka, but it would appear she is no longer alive after the fall of Ionia." After a short discussion on a few minor points of command the meeting was adjourned.
